Anyone up for doing a poll this year? I was thinking leaving the poll open a little longer than usual might get more votes in. also might encourage some more activity as this part of the forum has been rather quiet lately.

EDIT now that it's on again for the year, here's what you need to do if you haven't taken part before. The process is simples - simply post your twenty favourite albums in numbered order, in the format ALBUM - ARTIST. If you can't order them by preference, alphabetically/by release date/etc is fine, but the points will still be distributed by their position in your chart. A sample list may look a bit like this:
  1. Bold As Brass - Cliff Richard
  2. Something's Goin' On - Cliff Richard
  3. Silver - Cliff Richard
  4. Wired For Sound - Cliff Richard
  5. Cliff Sings - Cliff Richard
  6. When In Rome - Cliff Richard
  7. Sincerely, Cliff - Cliff Richard
  8. I'm Nearly Famous - Cliff Richard
  9. Listen To Cliff! - Cliff Richard
  10. Green Light - Cliff Richard
  11. Tracks And Grooves - Cliff Richard
  12. When In Spain - Cliff Richard
  13. Cliff At Christmas - Cliff Richard
  14. Real As I Wanna Be - Cliff Richard
  15. Don't Stop Me Now! - Cliff Richard
  16. Established 1958 - Cliff Richard
  17. Stronger - Cliff Richard
  18. Rock n Roll Juvenile - Cliff Richard
  19. The 31st of February Street - Cliff Richard
  20. Reign In Blood - Slayer
In this case, Bold As Brass receives 20 points and every successive entry receives one less (2nd 19 pts, 3rd 18 pts...) with 1 point for 20th. Live albums, collaborations, soundtrack albums, etc are all fine, but compilations are out (though if it can be considered an album in its own right, ie Magical Mystery Tour/Singles Going Steady, I'll allow it). There are no limits to the number of albums per artist in your list (unless you choose it to be so), and the closing date for lists is March 30th. COMMENCE

OKAY we'll do a poll. Start posting your lists in this thread. Closing date at some point in mid/late-March I suppose.

Okay I'm going to limit myself to one album per artist, so not to be filled with 17 Bob Dylan albums and 3 Arcade Fire ones. And again, expect no creativity in my choices, because I'm a populist bastard.

1. Highway 61 Revisited - Bob Dylan
2. The Suburbs - Arcade Fire
3. Kid A - Radiohead
4. Rubber Soul - The Beatles
5. Morrison Hotel - The Doors
6. Flight Of The Conchords - Flight Of The Conchords
7. Ziggy Stardust & The Spiders From Mars - David Bowie
8. Let Love In - Nick Cave & The Black Seeds
9. Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots - The Flaming Lips
10. Sound Of Silver - LCD Soundsystem
11. Modern Life Is Rubbish - Blur
12. Axis: Bold As Love - The Jimi Hendrix Experience
13. Plastic Beach - Gorillaz
14. Closer - Joy Division
15. Absolution - Muse
16. Loveless - My Bloody Valentine
17. Screamadelica - Primal Scream
18. Takk - Sigur Ros
19. The Queen Is Dead - The Smiths
20. Ladies And Gentlemen We Are Floating In Space - Spiritualized
