To be fair to Oblivion it is a 6 year old game.

Those screenshots look awesome though.

I can't help but smirk at the picture of the Khajit from Oblivion. It looks like Chester Cheetah during his disco years.

Can't wait for this. I pumped nearly 150 hours of my life into Oblivion and it's expansion packs.

Good grief. This game looks utterly amazing. Oblivion is one of the most immersive games I've ever played. It was beautiful in my opinion but these graphics are a different league.

Has anyone seen the trailer at the cinema yet? It's all the same content you've seen before but on a massive screen...it looks incredible. The only problem is that my 42" TV just isn't going to cut it any more!

So I have never played any of the Elder Scrolls games before but the cinema trailer has me curious.

Am I right in thinking it is essentially Fallout in a Fantasy Land?

Do I need to have played any of the other games to know what is going on?

Will it freeze and crash like Fallout: New Vegas did ALL THE TIME?

I strongly urge you to go out and pick up Oblivion GOTY for buttons and try your hardest to scratch the surface of this monument before Skyrim comes out. It is a terrific game, with hundreds of hours of gameplay. Just with 4 voice actors...

If you're interested (and I think I'm right in saying you've got a PS3) I have a copy of Oblivion I'm willing to swap. It isn't the GOTY but I've heard the GOTY doesn't run that well.

Do I need to play it? I don't have that kind of time to hand at the moment.

Skyrim might feature references to previous Elder Scrolls titles, but story-wise there's no need to play it. To be honest I played it again a while ago and it is a bit dated already.

Jesus. Christ.

There's a new 20 plus minute gameplay demo floating around online (IGN, Youtube etc.). Just absolutely incredible. It shows questing, the item and level up system, two dragon fights, a visit to a town etc. I've never seen a game that looks and feels like a real world the way this one seems to. The bit of the video with the dragon lobbing a giant 100 feet into the air made me laugh and gasp at the same time. 2 months seems way too long.

I think I will get this.

I love Fallout 3, but Fallout New Vegas annoyed me with constant bugs and glitches. This looks to be even better and the fantasy world intrigues me.

I had been umming and erring about whether I was going to buy this, as with so many good games this winter and with almost no time (I'm starting uni next week) I wasn't sure.

Having watched that 20 minute demo, I'm sold. That'll be on the Christmas List!

That 20 minute demo is on the 360s video marketplace and watching it on a TV is incredible, it looks so much more epic than it does on a shitty laptap. Seriously excited for Skyrim now.

The music is awesome and the Dragon battles are looking mental and I can see myself trying to lure one into some innocent little village. Poor bastards won't stand a chance.

This is going to be creamy. Why is Dark Souls out as well though? I don't want a fantasy od!

I made the wife watch this, just getting her used to what will be on the telly from 11.11.11.

This game is going to rock so hard. I'm looking forward to it more than Mass Effect 3 and that takes some doing.

I was hoping to take the week after release off work but it's not possible, I can however take 11.11.11 off. That's going to be a great day.
