At last. I liked the film but it was truly anorexic. Now I will finally have Scott's intended work of art.

The one time I've held back from buying and it looks like it will have been worth the wait. By all accounts it should be amazing. Ridley Scott DVDs are fantastic, even Matchstick Men had a brilliant documentary. And I'm in no doubt that this version will iron out a lot of the faults and also fill in the HUGE gaps.

Oh no. I didn't really like the film, but no doubt the shiny, thick packaging will force me to buy this anyway.

You'll probably change your mind once seeing the film enriched with new footage. The priest killed by Balian at the beginning? It's his brother.  A Scott film is always worth buying: along with Peter Jackson he is one of DVD's best utilisers, and the Crusades is an era I'm fascinated by.

The specs are looking good indeed. Hope the extended version of the movie will be an improvement, since I didn`t like the theatrical version too much.
Guess I`ll be giving it a try. Don`t like it? I`ll sell it again

Might just have to get a copy of this. Anyone know if it's coming out on Region 2?

I thought KoH wasn't a bad film but a film missing something. I'm gonna take a gamble on this and hope it turns out to be a jolly good film. I'm hoping anyway...

Awesome! Have recently been very tempted by the (now) cheap one and two disc versions, but I'm glad I held back! Can't wait to see what Scott originally intended for the film to be like as I found the theatrical version a little slim overall.

Whilst I welcome this news whole-heartedly, I am however rather annoyed that the DC has been spread over two discs. I known this is so they can fit all the commentaries on, but I'd rather have the whole version on one disc, as it really does bug the crap out of me having to get up and change over; not because I'm lazy but because I feel it spoils the continuity of the film. And no doubt the commentaries will be as tedious as whale shit, as usual. Ridley's a great director but his commentaries are only a fraction more interesting than Tim Burton's.

We suffered the same annoyance with LOTR extended editions and Alexander (though the former can be forgiven). Anyone else pissed off at this?

I will definitely be picking this one up and the fact it is over 2 discs shouldn't be a problem as long as the break is well placed. The features look awesome and I look forward to listening to the commentary.

I remember being invited to a free preview screening of this movie a week before it's release and I really enjoyed it but always felt it seemed rushed. I decided to hold out and wait for this version and checking out the features & the bad-ass artwork, I'm glad I held out. Pity that May's so far off.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm pretty. Might get this rather than the R2 simply because of the cover art alone.

This will be the first time EVER that I'll base my purchase on the packaging. The R2 is rancid, the R1 is beautiful. R1 is cheaper too
