Locke? He was just under the top 100. Also, it depends on if the hardcore Lost/West Wing fans voted in large numbers. Janney was the next closest from The West Wing. It was fans of The Wire and The Sopranos that dominated this list. Numbers 101 - 110 had six more performances from those two shows.

Great list, thanks for compiling it. Only just discovered it, so the top 20 went by in a blur.

3 things stood out:

1. Bill Murray in Groundhog day??? Really???? Really??? I mean... really?

2. Freakin Kate Winslet. She's good in Eternal Sunshine, hardly the best performance ever.

3. YAY SISSY SPACEK

I'm as outraged as you are that he didn't make the top 10.

He didn't deserve to be in the Top 50, to be quite honest. Really don't see what all the fuss is about.

Only just seen the list as well. Nice one.

Great to see Nicholson with so many performances fairly high up. The biggest surprise there is definitely Bubbles in the top 3 for tv. And how did Duchovny get above Peck?
A Woman Under the Influence is clearly way too low, but it's a pretty good list. I don't have any problem with the number 1s.

I'm quite surprised at some of these not getting any award nominations. I knew about The Wire not getting much recognition (at the time) but thought McGoohan  would have got plenty.

Definite proof you have no sense of humour.

More people have seen The X-Files really. It was one of those things where he wasn't high on many lists, but he was on a lot of lists, while Peck was on less lists but really highly placed on them.

Careful, Swords. You're dangerously close to sharing an opinion with me!
