Sounds terrible and like it has nothing to do with the game series whatsoever.

I like Whalberg but he's no Drake. I'm out.

Mark Wahlberg can play it straight, but he can't do wisecrack. He would look like an idiot. Or a ham. Remember that SNL parody of him with Andy Samberg? "Say hello to yo mutha!" That's what this would be like with him.
GET NATHAN FILLION! He shares more with Nathan Drake than just a first name. He IS Nathan Drake! He is perfect for this! They won't get me to pay for this, no matter how much I love Uncharted, with Marky Mark starring in it!

I am so disappointed in this casting. I think Mark Wahlberg is one of ther most overrated and wooden actors in hollywood at the moment and he has already screwed up one game to film franchise. Nathan Drake is the complete opposite to the parts Wahlberg usually plays (badly, may I add). Fillion would have been perfect, or Mark valley or Aaron Eckhart who would have been good, but ANYONE would have been better than Wahlberg. Even Shia LaBeouf - and thats after seeing him in Indy 4!

Uncharted was the one game I thought would have transferred well to the screen. However, I now wont be watching it. Usually, I can look beyond the star of a film, but not in this case.

Mark Whalberg is too intense an actor to play Drake. Not that there is any need for there to be an Uncharted movie anyway, since playing the game is inevitably going to be a better experience than watching another treasure hunting action movie. At least if they had cast Nathan Filion they could have gone full circle since he practically inspired Drake in the first place.
