That description is hilarious. More of a tourist guide!

I'll run it if Felix does.

I was hoping for the Empire team!

I may still do it. It's a bit pricey for a 10k run but I'm tempted.

I don't know if the magazine would be happy with their logo slapped across our chests/asses while we sweat around the streets.

Could just cut the logo off the magazine and pin it on my shirt!

Another spanner in the works, its also my parent's 40th wedding anniversary on that day!

Tis a shame, I'd love to have run it.

I'm running the royal Parks Half Marathon in October. Got an email confirming it yesterday. I'd better start training.

Saturday morning Parkruns are great   It was joyous to run without mud and rain this Sat.  Glorious morning.

My name is Karen Sinclair (Black Park)

Just been out and completed 6.4km with the works running club at lunchtime.  Started with a ruddy great hill   I've found my back aches when I run up hills so either my technique is not quite correct or I have a weak core.  Don't believe it is the second one as I do enough core exercises in other classes.  Might have the gait analysis done again in case I am running wonky

Went for a 3.5km this evening. First run in ages. Felt a bit tired! But not too bad and really glad I did it. Back out again later this week and going to the gym tomorrow.

I go to a Council run gym meaning I can use any in the region with my pass. I usually set the treadmill to 11.5kph when I run.

Went to a different gym from my usual on Saturday, ramped up the speed and it wasn't until I was nearly flat on my arse that I noticed that this gym use mph on their treadmills.

Sorry.  Just got this vision now of those people that run waaaaay to fast on a treadmill and shoot off the back

11.5 mph, that's 18.5 kph!!  Flipping nora no wonder you were nearly on your arse!

Beat my PB this morning at the Parkrun so really chuffed. 5k in 30:34. Fastest yet Should be able to crack that 30 min mark in the next few weeks!

Beautiful morning, blue sky loads of sun but bloody cold! Perfect weather for it

Mine was 25:24 this morning, 2 seconds off my PB. As soon as i arrived there, i needed to pee, making my run so much harder! If i didn't need to visit the little boys room i'd have definately beaten my PB of 25:22.

Righty, since there are no longer any gyms close to me since I moved I'm looking into running to keep myself fit. Are there any decent websites that cater for noobs running outdoors? Before I moved 7 weeks ago I was a 3/4 times a week gym guy but have no experience running on the streets.

It's not really that tricky James. It's a bit like walking only faster.

One leg in front of the other, you'll soon get the hang of it.

I use this site a lot - http://www.goodrunguide.co.uk/AboutUs.asp

I think you can do a months free trial and then it's 10 per year if you carry on using it.  I log my runs in there and also looked up running routes that other people have done.

www.runnersworld.co.uk there are forums connected to the magazines website that has loads of tips and stuff.

Who'd have known that a magazine would have its own forums!

Glad you had a good run Hobs, just come back from an almost 5k myself.

A lovely evening for it, nice and cool, still light enough to see without needing to bring a torch but late enough that the glaring sunset had gone behind the clouds.  If only it could stay like this all year round and not get swelteringly hot in the Summer.

Not been out for a few weeks so my legs are a little sore, but at least they're sore in the right places this time!

My girlfriends signed us up for The Marwell 10k in May. That's right, a 10k run around a zoo!

That's ace!!

All those animals to look at you won't even feel like you're running 10k. Brilliant!

Went for a run round Clapham Common last night but it was getting quite dark and I tripped on a root or a rock (I don't know) and fell and hit the ground with my hands. So for the rest of the run I had stinging, dirt covered palms. Felt like being a kid again!
