 Still nowt in Cheshire. Some light flurries forecast for tomorrow but I'm trying not to get my hopes up.

Due to go over snake pass again Wednesday and am hoping for being snowed in instead.

Managed to make it into work in one piece, though I nearly came a cropper crossing a road because I couldn't see where the pavement began and managed to slip on the kerb. Where it's been allowed to settle undisturbed I'd say it's about 5 inches deep here, and perfect snowball snow too

Second pic was taken at 9.30, after I'd tried to clear the path:
That snow is nearly TWO FEET DEEP in places!!!

 We had some people do the same on a car window in our Works car-park live a love-heart with 2 names in it, decided to dump a tonne of snow on it and write instead 'you make me sick' - went past at lunch it had been re-done, so re-dumped the snow and wrote 'grow up!' note - I know the people who were doing it, its not like I'd do that to a random strangers car.

 Bit of snow here in Belfast, but not enough or good quality enough to make snowmen or effective snow balls. However it is so cold in my kitchen that my Marmite won't spread.

 A lovely drive into work today. I could feel the car slipping almost continuously and there was a few patches of freezing fog mixed in. A 30 minute journey took over an hour and a quarter and I was beaten by a bike for most of the journey.

In Birmingham we've had a little bit of snow, but the weather forecast reckons the snow from Newcastle is moving toward and over us during the night and we'll get snow showers throughout the day tomorrow.... great, It's annoying me now because I have to get up extra early to get the bus to work as I can no longer cycle as it's too icy to be safe and the buses are rammed as no-one is walking anymore, so are the roads in general.

I have to say though that this year it feels colder earlier than I remember it doing so in other years, which could be where some of the comments come from.

Annoyingly at work we have an open door policy and although there is heating on in the shop it never gets properly warm, and whenever you go near the doors it is freezing cold and all I have to wear is a tee-shirt as they don't have any jackets with the shop logo on left. Still, I quite like the fact I enjoy the warmth of my house this year, living at home has to have some benefits and having the heating on a lot with no cost to myself is certainly one of them

I had to put my jar of Nutela in the microwave earlier to make it spreadable.

She's bladdered, she'd have problems walking snow or no snow!  The women in the first pic are very scary, specially the one on the left....

People have been coming into the shop all day today, talking about how much snow we're expected to get etc, and even the managers husband phoned up at one point to say how worried he's going to be over the next few days.


...nothing's forecast! At all! Am I, the BBC Weather Centre and the Met Office missing something that a bunch of old people and their bunions haven't?
