For all my fellow patient posters lets get silly about The Walking Dead GMT.

How hard is it not to peep on the US speed thread?

I'm doing well not to peek. I'm normally quite a patient person and am quite willing to wait until they're shown on TV. Looking forward to it.

I've seen the pilot (lips are sealed) but am probably just going to watch the series on FX, it's not that long of a wait.

That's quite sexist.

I'm slightly intrigued - I've just got the trailer and the last line, I'm sure, is Walking Dead - DIRECTOR'S CUT. What on earth does that mean? Are they saying the director has completely recut it from Sunday's US transmission (even though I'm assuming that this trailer has been playing since before then).

I've seen the trailers for this and it looks really good but when does it start? I'm sure at the end of the trailers it just said "coming soon"

Borstal, if you have a Sky HD subscription, you have FXHD - channel 193. If you have a Virgin HD subsciption and have the XL tier, you should also have FXHD, but I don't know what channel it is on Virgin.

If HD progs play blurry on your TV, you maybe want to change your TV. It makes not a whit of difference on mine.

It was a joke about me not having the HD channel. Albeit not the best joke ever. I'll be watching on FX on a HD telly. It will be fine.

ZOMGIE

12 hrs 50 mins to go. I saw the TV trailer last night and noticed (as previously mentioned) that it states 'directors cut'?

Is it true its running with no TV ads?

There's a regular 45 minute episode 1 that was cut, but then Darabont redid it as an extended 67 minute cut (so with ads it would be 90 minutes as in the US). Fox, who has the international rights, offered both versions to all territories so they could decide which one to use, and the UK went with the longer version which we're calling the Directors Cut because... well, it's Frank Darabont's directors cut.

And yes, FX are showing this 1st episode advert free, so will be the unbroken 67 minute version.

Really hope you enjoy it.

I didn't even realise there was an FXHD channel until I read this yesterday.

So I cancelled my recording last night and bumped it onto HD.

You can come round to mine and watch it if you want Borstal?
