ORIGINAL: streetlevel But the most encouraging and important thing that Spielberg says about motion capture is what everyone, especially acting awards shows, need to understand. No matter how different someone like Jamie Bell looks on-screen with Tintin’s likeness, “it will be Jamie Bell’s complete physical and emotional performance. If Tintin makes you feel something, it’s Jamie Bell’s soul you’re sensing.” http://www.digitalacting.com/2010/07/04/steven-spielberg-on-tintin-it-made-me-more-like-a-painter-than-ever-before/ http://allthingsfoe.blogspot.com Then film Jamie Bell instead of mo capping him???? I absolutely don't give a shit about this kind of reason or excuse coming from Spielberg (no offense to you). This advanced mo cap madness is getting out of control, I'm actually horrified that they decided to go for something like that when Spielberg, with its chosen cast already, could have made a fantastic film without the CG. I'm so tired of that crap, seriously, Zemeckis got lost in it, Spielberg is going there, Cameron will stay there, and Peter Jackson might just fall for it even more (even if it's recent Hobbit casting reassure me that it should limit his CG obsessivness for now.). Give us a break... *is annoyed*
