Went to see this tonight, and...like the first part, was totally freaked out by the end.

This isn't a film for people who need a plot, deep characters or any kind of twist. It's for people who like a good old fashioned ghost story and who love someone yelling BOO in their ear at full volume.

As embarassing as it sounds, I damn nearly jumped out of my skin during a particular scene from this film. Easily the scariest moment I have ever seen in the cinema, it was bloody scary, and bloody hilarious because of it.

Great fun, especially if you liked the first. Simple. Psychological. Utterly terrifying.

Finally got round to watching this at the weekend and thought it was solid enough, certainly didn't have the 'fresh' vibe the original had but it still had it's share of goosebump moments. One scene inparticular made me jump out of my skin and it's not very often I can say that about a film....

haven't watch it yet.. but i did watch the first, and i love it sooo much. i have wathced the first for three times, but just can't figure out that i still feel the jumping feeling.
i love the "real" scray atmosphere in this movie (something i can't found in any ghost movies). and yes you are right jrewing1000, this movie is made for those who love the old fashioned ghost movie. what about the main characters? do they play well as the first?

I watched this film around 12mn in my room without any light. It's a scary movie for me which I thought at first when my friends told me that this is a true story recorded video. I can't survive watching in the dark so I turned on back the light specially during the scene when the blanket is moving.. Fearful!!

Just watched this, seriously poor film. Classic case of an original "came out of nowhere" film spawning dismal sequel. The first one I liked because it built up the dread steadily from the start. Film 2: absolutely nothing happens for 70 minutes, then lots of weird things of dubious logic happen, the end. Absolute shite.

Hmmm, problem with this is it`s a sequel along the lines of the original.I think it is better but it isnt original.I agree there are certain twists which dont stack up,but as a horror film it is excellent.

Totally, although you can forgive a one trick pony if the trick is performed well.  I'd be curious to know what scene absolutely terrified some of you guys - I think that by the time anything remotely spooky started to happen I was too lethargic to jump.

This film disappointed me. First of all I think it was a mistake making it a prequel rather than a sequel as the original trailer led me to believe (seems they haven't learnt their lesson with the teaser for number 3), besides all the blatant contradictions and plot holes when linked to the first, it just made it less dramatic, knowing what was ultimately going to happen. The only bit that lived up to its predecessor was the demonic rape scene which was just harrowing to watch in the cinema. I remember hearing the entire audience hold their breath. Silence, and then the sound of one female viewer starting to cry.

I thought it was really clever and as a sequel/prequel it did a good job of expanding the mythology. I'm hoping they don't fuck it up with pt3 this Halloween.
