Anyone watching this?

A three parter based on the novel by Mark Billingham, telling the story of a killer that doesn't actually want to kill the girls but subject them to "Locked in" syndrome. The main character is DI Tom Thorne, played by David Morrissey.

It has a fantastic case, David Morrissey, Natasha McElhone, Aiden Gillan etc and was actually quite good. I have read the book so I won't go into anything regarding whats next but so far it has been pretty faithful to the book

I've been watching this and at this point I'm suspicious of Aiden Gillen's character.

I've got it on the planner waiting to be watched, it's not high on the 'to watch' list mind...

I'm still watching this but I was really put off by the first part. The background noise was too loud and you could hardly hear what the main characters were saying. Plus, the storyline isn't too original.

**********SPOILERS*************

Didn't like the finale at all. I thought it was so weak, and had changed from the book, but thats a whole different spolier !. The whole tongue was so fucking stupid as was when Maggie gets stabbed and it takes DI Howard about 20 minutes to get medical help.

In a hospital.
Outside a ward.
Which has nurses.

Grrr!

Bits of it worked better than others.  The cast was fantastic and kept you watching.  It was well produced, however they over did the voices from the shut in girl, it got really annoying and did not serve a storyline purpose after awhile.  And the narrative was very erritic, it was quite poor story telling all in all.  Plus it was difficult to like the Thone Character by the end.  Think I will keep watching for now.
