After a miracle, after the rejoicing, after the world’s media spotlight fades, there’s only one thing left - the Hollywood blockbuster. In Too Deep tells the astounding story of the 33 Chilean miners trapped deep below the Atacama desert.
With air, food and space sparse, things can get tense. Or worse.
Captured in high-definition 3D, the film brings us a story of love, hate, life and death, even more dramatic than the actual events.

There'll be producers making calls, no doubt.

So a movie where everyone is stuck in a cave.

In 3D?

They made a film about a man buried alive, they made a film about guy stuck in a coma, and Herzog wants do a 3D film about a cave art.

I see it possible.

There's plenty to be working with. The masturbating miner, the one who had a mistress and wife waiting for him topside

It can't be any worse than WTC!

Why is it in bad taste? Everyone got out alive, it's the ultimate in happy endings. Was Apollo 13 in bad taste?

I loved the suggestion i seen that everyone who was rescuing them should have worn Planet Of The Apes costumes!
Now that would have been funny

They should get the Judd Apatow crowd in for this. If their long-mooted Magnificent Seven remakes get off the ground too (click), those guys could own Summer 2012.

Seriously, I could see 90 minutes of fart gags down the hole, and Seth Rogen doing his crazy schtick after cabin fever sets in really taking off. Hell, they could even change the ending slightly to include the abandoned Planet Of The Apes gag.

I say add a twist, the government of the nation (a fictional one) mocks up the whole thing to unite the country.

Need to get Stallone on board. It could become Daylight 2! Who wouldn't want to see that?

Then the others miners smash his head in and feast on his skin. It's a comedy

Or improve their image with the country (since everybody disliked Pinera for being a rich billionaire) and other big brands save tens of millions in advertising.

75% of it would be true.

Get Ce**ne D**n to do the theme song. Maybe a cover of McCartney's Coming Up? Or Springsteen's The Rising? Or maybe a 're-imagining' of the Bee Gees' New York Mining Disaster 1941?
