cant wait, great to hear its not an overly long series as well.

True that overly long seasons aren't great and often lose focus (every single season of 24 proves this), but 6 episodes is disappointingly short...

Don't mean to be a dry shite, but since when has Empire's coverage extended to TV shows?

Not that I'm not looking forward to this show (just started reading the comics and they're frakkin' great) but still....

Well, it makes no sense to me. Empire's supposed to be a movie magazine. If they're going to report on the Walking Dead, then why not on Mad Men or any other TV show?

they have posted on TV shows before. Last year they did a 6 page spread of Lost Season 5, and it was awesome. Since then i have seen them do features on other TV shows like Spaced

Actually they've often had stuff on TV shows in keeping with the often extensive reviews they provide for TV show DVD releases. They've also reported on some TV news in this section for some time as well, particularly if it or the makers have strong films links. So a movie magazine would still be interested in the activity of someone like Frank Darabont. The Star Wars TV series has been commented on in here, Spielberg's latest TV series, Scorsese's involvement in a TV series, etc. You'll also find stuff on The Wire round and about.

Aside from just how excellent The Walking Dead is, if Empire's coverage of a TV show will get someone like Darabont more movie projects greenlit, then they should make it a damn front page spread! Carry on Empire!

I've tried to Sky+ this twice now, once on Friday and then again for the repeat on Sunday, FAILED both times. Now I understand that this was nobody's fault except maybe the weather, but now I've missed the first episode I'm not sure I'll watch it. Not sure why I'm sharing this either, I'm just really pissed off about it...

Simon, its on Sky anytime

Previous post deleted: I shall try YET again.

Re: Empire not covering tv shows - The Walking Dead feels like a film, looks like a film and is (severed) head and shoulders above most zombie movies released in the last couple of years or so. Ironically these films have a whiff of tv movie of the week about them, (probably late night on the horror channel - yes, they are that bad!)

Empire: Keep on keeping up the stirling work chaps.
