I loved The Dark Knight Rises but the line near the end when Batman reveals something to another character lands with an almighty clunk.

Demons 2 without a shadow of a doubt. Die Hard with Italian zombies, the hero and his heavily-pregnant sister (I think) end up on the roof of a tower block, the undead in, er, hot pursuit. They just happen to spot a couple of what must be very long ropes dangling over the side of the building and the hero turns to his sister (I think) and says:

Remember those abseiling lessons we had last summer?


Expo-tastic! I have seen this line reduce (admittedly drunk/stoned) grown men to tears of helpless laughter. Classic.

Shameless Star Wars prequel apologist that I am, even I've gotta admit, this dire-logue takes some beating:


ANAKIN
I don't like sand. It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere. Not like here. Here everything is soft and smooth.


Not only is that absolutely excruciating, it also raises the unfortunate question of whether Darth Vader's been circumsised or not! (Or is it just me...?)


ANAKIN
Just being around her again is... intoxicating.


Which inevitably makes me think that young Anakin has been - how shall I put this? - furiously practising with his "lightsabre" at the thought of Padme for the past ten years. If you know wot I mean, like...

Lol, no, that is a great line. But c`mon we have to put both these line into context. TDKR like most Nolan movies is up its own and trying to pass this off as serious dialogue! and going by Bane accent and delivery he was clearly taking off the Bond delivery anyways

Or some bullshit near the start of 2012. There is also another line later on by Satnam, when he speaks to his wife to pack the bags. He speaks to her in terrible accented Hindi, then turns to his kid in a bad indian accent and says simply "We are going on a big ship". Gah, if it wasnt so funny I would hate it.

Science maybe, but why is it so hard to make a disaster movie that doesn't feel thuddingly stupid every time someone opens their mouth.
