For anyone interested - the Shopto app is now available on Windows Phone 7/8 marketplace!! Not a bad little app actually.

Also - Mirrors Edge has been made free for anyone with a Nokia Lumia owners. Its a great game actually!

Borstal - have you managed to have a look at the WinPho 8 handsets yet? Seems to be loads more interest in these - quite a few of my friends have ditched their iPhones for a Lumia 920.

I had a play with one yesterday and they are pretty damn slick actually. The Blue HTC 8X is a thing of beauty!!

Yeah I had a quick go of one the other day, its still a while off my phone upgrade yet. I think I'll be sticking with Windows for my next phone. Hopefully I'll be able to get one of the large screen models.

Good shout borstal. I picked all of them the other day. Well except for Gravity Guy as I already had that.

A chunk of Gameloft games have been released.

Dark Knight Rises & Modern Combat 4 off the top of my head - Windows Phone 8 only at the minute as they are graphically intensive.

Just picked up some freebies so far, Jetpack Joyride, Six Guns, Sims and Tetris. Quite impressed with the higher end games. I DL the trial for Modern Combat 4 which looked very good graphics-wise.

Anyone got any recommendations for quick, easy and preferably free games? Or perish the thought, fun games?

I've been toying with purchasing Final Fantasy as i've never played the first 6 games but I don't know if i'm ready for that kind of commitment just yet.

I've always been surprised that there haven't been more DS style games for mobiles. Where are the games like Professor Layton, Final Fantasy Tactics or Phoenix Wright? Surely these games would be ideal for touchscreen.

Currently trying for the Angry Birds Star Wars 30 hours played achievement.....Absolute bastard. Not even half way yet and I have all the other achievements. I thought i'd be used to horrible time sink achievements for these games by now.

Anyone tried Reaper? I'm having fun with this hybrid RPG\platform slasher. Free download too for the first part of it.

Not really a Windows Phone obviously, but my other half just bought herself a Surface Pro 2.

As a curiosity I loaded up Tomb Raider, Skyrim and Half Life 2 on it for a giggle and the fooking things run, admittedly only at 720p in the case of the former two, with medium settings, but none the less, PC gaming on a tablet, it's quite natty!

A guy at work has a Surface Pro 2. I was jealous of him playing Sim City at lunchtime.

It's a lot heavier than the RT I have though.

Isn't the Pro just an Ultrabook without the keyboard and mouse input? I've played WoW on the iPad before, not quite the same but you can use something like splashtop to stream stuff from the PC to a tablet, if you really want to PC game on a tablet.

Pretty much (although you'd be mad to buy it without one of the two type covers), it's arguably more ultrabook than it is tablet to be honest, sort of.

You'd be mad to buy it at all, and the covers. At least at current pricing. £130 for a cover with a keyboard? Jog on Microsoft.

I actually kind of agree, decent bit of kit but the price is a tad eye watering, although when stacked up against some of the larger capacity tablets and equivalent Ultrabooks it's not quite as far afield price wise as I initially thought, although they're insanely priced as well, so that's not saying much. The covers are crazy though, they should really be bundled for starters in my opinion, let alone sold for those sorts of prices.

Bit disappointed that neither Final Fantasy is playable on my surface, only on my windows phone. Especially seeing as FFIII has been released at nearly £13 for a WP game! I'd have loved to play that on my surface.

I've just downloaded 3 Microsoft games - Mah Jong, Solitaire Suite and Minesweeper - all free, all a nice easy 200gp each!
