Have you forced the update borstal?

I had to reflash with a stock UK Omnia 7 ROM. Then update through Zune once.

Following that I had to force an update to NoDo - then force the next update to Mango (both using the 'disable internet' trick via wifi on my laptop)

Mango is quality!

Works a charm!

Yes, despite a couple of moments when I thought it had locked it was straightforward. 2 forces to update and the last one (actual Mango) was automatic.

I can't believe the interface is even quicker and smoother. It was already better than what Ive seen on iphones/androids and now its like shit off a shovel Everything is better. Love the XBL interface. Its like they polished a diamond.

I think most people after years of Windows glitchyness and apple smoothness won't consider a WP7 but they should put aside any prejudice and give it a try. Seriously excellent and if its an indicator of what they are going to do with Windows 8 then Im excited. Microsoft have finally looked at other interfaces and taken note.

I spent all last night tinkering with it. People who want social networking intergration, office work, XBL and a really slick phone should get one.

More and more impressed with it.

I've been eyeing up W7M for a while now - any have recommendations on a handset? I've been looking at a HD7 but I'm clueless nowadays when it comes to phones.

I love my Omnia 7 despite vowing never to own a Samsung again Go instore and have a look at one, the screen blows pretty much all other phones away. I did look at the monster sized HTC HD7 but orange stopped carrying it.

With a load of new WP7 sets coming out your going to have a bigger choice than I did.

I picked up Rise of Glory yesterday. Why did I buy a tilt control flying game?!! I get so stressed tilting the fucker

Only had a little go but its quite impressive and Im getting used to tilting my phone with more subtlety. Im going to buy one more title this month and am looking at something a bit more meaty than the standard fare. Zombies! (tile/card based strategy), The Harvest (nice looking shooter/rpgy thing) or Puzzle Quest 2.

Finally joining the world of WP7 soon - well June to be specific but still worth of a mention.

Lumia 900 come on down!

The Lumia 900 is sure looking nice - although there are rumors abound that a 910 or 930 is destined for Europe with an improved camera - probably due to the lack of 4G network over here...

I keep picking up the DotWs but Puzzle Quest 2 is my most played at the moment. I just wish The Harvest would drop.

Yeah The Harvest is a great game - what I played of the trial anyway. I am pretty sure they would see a huge spike in sales if they dropped the price on that one!

Oh yeah forgot about that one. Played the trial of Civ Revolution last week - was a bit meh and a little confusing to be honest.

The sequel to Geo Defence is out soon too - loved that game

Really happy with WP7.5. Coming from my old sluggish Xperia, it's a real step up and feels like a steal for 100 quid. The way everything is in sync is the future...

Got Wordament!

Howdy people - I'm on wordament, its really quite difficult at first until you get used to it. I'm sure some of the words aren't even actual words but its really addictive!

Trying to find a Lumia 900 other than Carphone Warehouse or Phones4U is a pain in the ass...

WP7.5 is the business, had a play with a Galaxy SIII today and I wished to high heaven it was running WinPho...Android is a garbled mess imo...

Can anyone with a Windows phone tell me how the Marketplace pricing compares to the Android store?

I really do fancy a Lumia but I'm not going to bother if the app and games are priced much higher than on other formats.

The highest price for a game I've seen is 5.49 (Final Fantasy 20th anniversary). Most are about 2.29.

The majority of apps seem to be about a quid. There's quite a lot of handy free stuff though just like Android, especially with a Nokia. You get free sat nav which seems to work really well, though I've not put it through it's paces properly.

Recently there have been a whole bunch of games priced at 79p and a handful of freebies. As Kata said most are 2.29 but every week there is a DotW normally at 1.49.

That's not too bad.

The Lumia 900 has deffo caught my eye, having to deal with Carphone Warehouse to get one is a bit of a ballache though so I might settle for the 800 direct from Vodafone instead.

I really fancy that Final Fantasy, it's a little too expensive though.
