3 STARS TOO MANY! A ROM COM WITHOUT THE ROMANCE OR THE ... - 24/7/2010 6:43:40 PM

One star would honestly be generous for this movie. Caterine-Zeta Jones plays a character that is so perfect it's offensive. Some of the dialogue beggars belief: When the couple suffer the inevitable 'bump in the road' Zeta Jones utters the immortal line "You know what i'll miss most?...You...Your friendship." The words by themselves have cringe emminating from them but would, in certain films, ALMOST be acceptable. However this is not the case here due to the fact that a) Bartha's character offers her nothing BUT himself and his frindship, and b) she is the one breaking up with him! The farcical toilet humour leaves one wondering what on earth could have been disgarded from early drafts, if this is what the final product 'offers'. All that need be said, in a plea to stop anybody else wasting money (never mind time) watching this movie, is to go straight to the end (and i don't care about spoilers in this instance - believe me you should be grateful). This film ends with Bartha's character ADOPTING A BANGLADESHI ORPHAN AS A SINGLE FATHER. "It took me 2 years, but now I can finally call myself his dad!" NEED I SAY MORE?!

Arrghhh..........what can i say about Rebound  - what an absolute load of tosh – has the Empire reviewer even see this film – 3 stars beggars belief – more like no stars.  Having said if it was feminist reviewer i can see why as at times it really hates all men and loved making them looked stupid

Even Jennifer "Rom Com" Anniston stands a chance against this garbage

£15.00 down the drain

Saw this Film last night on a " free " preview, and Boy was I glad I didn't have to pay to see it. It is totally cringeworthy at times, and probably the worst Film I have ever seen C.Z.Jones in. Seems her career has hit a very low point nowdays, if she is doing crap like this. Shame really !!!!......

Well what can I say? I really didn't expect much, the only reason I went to see it was because I had seen everything else! What is the point in all these boring rom-coms, there not romantic or funny, a few one liners but that was it. Now I have seen my fair share of rom coms and this was not one, Zeta-Jones was a typical bitchy mother who is over protective and Bartha plays his usual geeky characters, just take at look at his character in the National Treasure films. A big no no for me.
