What does everybody think of Irvine Welsh? I'd rate him as one of my favourite authors. I love his books, especially Glue, as I find it more touching and human than his other books. I would love to see it made into a film. So what do you think? What are your favourite Irvine Welsh books?

He is a great author, though I must admit I haven't read his last few. My favourite would have to be Marabou Stork Nightmares, an insanely great story with a heartstopping ending. Loved The Acid House and Trainspotting too.

Yeah, Maribou Stork Nightmares is wicked, if a bit strange. You should check out some of his later stuff. Like I said, Glue is brilliant, and Porno (Trainspotting sequel) is very good too, though perhaps not as good as Trainspotting.

Filth is another one of his great books. It's all about a corrupt crook, and is very very dark.

Welsh is an amazing novelist, his work to date just keeps getting better and better.

Out of all of his novels Terry 'Juice' Lawson is just a star of a character.

Juice Terry is a standout and would love to see him translated to screen.  Would love to see a Porno movie (arf!).  They would have to use the Juice Terry character surely with Kevin Keegan doing Hair and make-up.

Glue would make a good movie too in my opinon there is a lot of scope for a movie here and the characters leapt out of the book at me, ken?

I hope the Adaptation of Ecstacy goes well
