FFS, Colin Murray asking Kevin Davies about donkeys. MOTD has reached an all-time low.

Kevin Davies:

Insight: 2/10
Tactical Awareness: 2/10
Obviousness: 9/10
Charisma: 3/10
Boat-rocking: 1/10

Overall: What was the point?

Lineker: "A word about Steve Bruce: he hasn't done a bad job there."

Typically honest, critical analysis by MOTD there.

only caught about 10 mins of this last night, but that included a momentarily exciting moment when Pat Nevin's face betrayed a "shove me again, you long-haired fucker, and I'll deck you" moment with Robbie Savage. What we needed at that point was a Machiavellian anchorman to fan those flames, sadly we got Colin Murray pouring his own brand of dull ditchwater on them. Still, showed potential!

Murray seemed shocked that someone actually had the audacity to disagree with something that was said.

Billo is shocked when someone agrees.

I'd hope that MOTD continues with Nevin as he is by far the best thing to happen to MOTD in ages, but we all know it'll be back to standards next week with more gormless autobots.

Isn't he a regular guest on Colin Murray's radio show? Perhaps their good relationship will lead to him appearing more on MOTD because he was great, very insightful. I don't think Lee Dixon is that bad so maybe they'd make a good combo.

Some wonderful shot selection by MOTD's editors there tonight at the end of the Wigan v Chelsea game. An obviously joyous and quite teenage Wigan fan turning at full-time to his mate sat next too him, who was no doubt a Chelsea in disguise, and giving him the huge middle finger.

Did we get to see it or did we get patronised like Sky do and blur it out in case it offends us sooooooooo much!?!

No you can see it, the camera pans away straight afterwards but it's fairly obvious.

Oh Alan Hansen, could you talk more shit if you were paid by each nonsical sentence?

"Man City, a club in crisis."

Also could you possibly try to be less like Sky and be a bit impartial...

Old habits die hard, he started out on Sky. Agree though, everytime I see him now I think 'we are paying 40k in license fee money for this!?!'.

Anyone see Lineker getting all snotty with whoever it was who fucked up his autocue? Obviously it's far too much to expect a professional to think on his feet and improvise for all of five seconds.
Makes me yearn for the cool-under-pressure composure of a Newbon or Partridge.

I saw Goals On Sunday once that had Glenn Roeder and Steve Coppell on it and it was the most boring thing I've ever seen. Even Kammy appeared deflated by it.

Colin Murray's definition of "hard journalism" is wanking over Peter Crouch's goal again, and not confronting Poulis on his fans' sickening booing of Ramsey.

Even without the other two, the presence of that utter cunt Pulis seals it.

In reference to Chelsea's young winger Oscar....

"Well they've signed Oscar. I wonder if they'll sign big bird or the cookie monster?

Probably have to be of a certain age to understand that."

No Steve Wilson. You have to be a fucking plonker to come up with that kind of nonsense.
