I think I'm gonna get it - looks like a great way to burn off some calories without getting bored out of mind jogging or something

Bearing in mind my unused Gym sub cost me over £400 after I screwed my knee I think it will work out a lot cheaper in the long run.

I was wondering when the "girlfriend wants it" stories would start to appear in the run up to Chistmas!

Come on people be honest, despite the girlfriends (entirely real I'm sure) cravings for the likes of Dance Central you all secretly want a go, the other half expressing an interest is the only nudge you need to blow £130 big ones on this baby.

I'm just as guilty, girlfriend caught sight of the fitness games for it a while back and I've been toying with the idea of picking her up one for Christmas, by "her" I mean me obviously, even though I know that like most of this hand waving, leg kicking shite I'll play it three times and never touch it again. Bonkers!

.

I'm lucky (as far as Kinect is concerned) that my missus has no interest in games at all and would probably book me in to see a shrink if I paid £130 for a peripheral. So, thankfully, there's absolutely no chance of me getting rail roaded into buying it and I'm certainly not going to buy it of my own accord.

If it ever comes down to about £20 I might entertain the idea, otherwise I'm happy with my joypad thanks.

The wife pre-ordered one ages ago as a present, and I've told her (without trying to be too ungrateful!) that it'll just be another Wii. She's still getting it, as the guy in game reckons these are gonna be like rocking horse shit come christmas, so we're gonna see what they go for on ebay.

This peer pressure malarky is no good for your bank balance, just ordered The Biggest Loser game to go with it.

Deposit paid.

YFU and Pratt forced me to wear a maids outfit and go skiing with them.

(ed) Going to get Kinectimals (?) and Dance Central. My man points are taking a serious beating on this.

So you can share photos of you jumping around like the boobs on a busty jogger on Kinect Adventures. I can't wait to see some Empire poster images.

That should be a laugh!

In other news:

quote:

Microsoft has revealed an all-new promotion for Xbox LIVE and the forthcoming Xbox 360 full-body motion-control device, Kinect, in a very subtle manner. The Kinect LIVE Token will operate in a very similar fashion to the currently available Microsoft Points Cards and Xbox LIVE Subscription Cards that can be purchased from retailers, but will instead directly offer new software for early adopters of the Kinect device.

Though little information has been revealed thus far, the Kinect LIVE Token product is obviously designed to entice the Xbox 360ís prospective new audience into connecting their system to the Xbox LIVE network. Offering new, free downloadable content (DLC) additions to their Kinect titles, itís not yet known how consumers will be able to acquire their Kinect LIVE Token, though Electronic Theatre suspects it may be included within the deviceís retail package from launch.

The only Kinect LIVE Token revealed at present is for the pack-in Kinect Adventures, as pictured on this page, which will offer an additional two levels of gameplay for Rallyball and one level for Reflex Ridge. These two games are undoubtedly the two most widely popularised games for Kinect, formally known as Ricochet and Water Rafting.

The full-body motion-control device for Xbox 360, Kinect, will be available throughout Europe from 10th November 2010. The launch software line-up for the accessory was revealed recently, and Electronic Theatre will keep you updated with all the latest details on Kinect as the official launch approaches.

Okay, so I've cancelled my pre-order for The Biggest Loser and pre-ordered Your SHape instead. It seems like an all round better game. Think I'll pick The Biggest Loser and Dance Central up when they get reduced.

I went for Your Shape as it looked the most impressive fitness game. I also have Sports Resort and Dance Central ordered for launch.

Given a choice I'd have to go with a vibrator, simply because they have more functionality. Even if your vibrator batteries run out you still have a dildo to play with.

Xbox360world are suggesting caution after MS lowered the spec's and are using an inferior camera to original design.
Obviously they want you to buy next months mag but its a touch worrying.

Decided to go ahead and pre-order this. Showed a vid of it in action to my little ones, and they're putting it on their Christmas List for Santa to deliver here...  Gives me some time to get a few games together before Christmas too, so we're all ready to roll come the big day.
