Opened our Kinect on Christmas Day and so far have, Kinect Adventures, Kinect Sports, Dance Central and The Biggest Loser. Thoughts so far are: Pro's: Despite a slight lag, the tech works very well 97% of the time. The camera is smaller and sleeker looking than I thought it would be. Bowling aside (a mere shadow of it's Wii counterpart) Kinect Sports is utterly fantastic. Adventures ain't half bad either. The Biggest Loser has been a real suprise, well worth getting if you're into your fitness games, it's makes Wii-Fit look rather silly in my opinion. Dashboard operation is suprisingly smooth and workable, as are the voice commands, even if they're limited. Facial recognition and sign-in is rather natty. Sitting down the camera can still track you quite well. Con's: The camera has on three seperate occasions now decided that a person walking by either behind the player or down the side of the playing zone was in fact the actual player, from here on it's decided to follow that person instead, refusing point blank to follow anyone else until beaten with a stick. You forget the thing is taking pictures through most games and tasks and whilst walking to the shower get snapped starkers in the background as your girlfriend plays a freestyle section on Dance Central. I hurt my ankle playing Kinect Sports. I hurt my hand playing Kinect Sports. I hurt my left knee playing Kinect Sports. I hit a mate in the side of the head playing Kinect Sports. The Rapid Runner mini-game on Kinect Sports very nearly gave me a heart attack whilst I was gunning for the Kilometer King achievment. Kinect Sports is fucking dangerous.
