 Yup, it's those pesky coins on Kinect Adventures. Wisely Ubisoft decided against taking photos whilst playing Your Shape, that would have just been plain nasty. Motion Sports lets you but there's not way of uploading them (which is silly).

 I feel it's my duty to warn people off Motion Sports. It's not even worth a rent. Truly awful. The only half decent events are the boxing (which is also too hard) and the handgliding. Everything else sucks donkey balls, especially the football and American football.

 It is, I played the demo the other day and it's exactly like that. You don't even have to steer properly for it to work. It was great for my two-year old though, he thought he was the mutts nutts

I'm more worried about where that guy has his Kinect, look at the photos it's taken at the end, WTF?

 Just picked up Sonic Free Riders (for the boy) and Kinectimals (for the girl) for Christmas. I think that, with Adventures, that should keep us going for Boxing Day, or Christmas II, as I call it.

 Its not for a typical 'gamer'...yet. Its fun, silly, very energetic and lightweight. Using it still puts a smile on my face but then so did Wii for a while. Mrs B loved the couple of goes she's had on it and the kids will think its 'well awesome'.

If your happy to look a tit in front of people or want to keep fit its good but there is nothing at the moment that will convince the 'hardcore' crowd to buy in.

If you have a small space in front of your TV its not even an option. I think you'd be struggling at 6ft.

Me and the kids are loving it, although avoid the Motion sports game - it is laughably bad. Swapped it for the much better Kinect sports.

 I'm still loving it (apart from having to rearrange the room everytime). It does take a bit more effort to play but not much more than setting up Rock Band. Friends who have seen it have all been really impressed and expressed their desire to have one, especially after playing Kinect Sports or Dance Central.

As for the hardcore gamers - it hasn't stopped me playing Alan Wake or Darksiders recently.

 The wife being the lovely lady she is gave me my Kinect this afternoon.

It's an impressive piece of kit that's for sure. Adventures is great fun, but being the unfit, festively plump lay about that I am, didn't last much longer than an hour before letting the kids take over..

Bought the kids Dance Central, which I was rather impressed by. It's not my cup of tea personally, but compared to the dancing games the kids have on the Wii, this renders them obsolete in my opinion.

Played the demo of Kinect Driving or whatever it's called and it really is as bad as that video. I find it drives itself and is rather unresponsive. If I ever do play the full game, it'll be a rental. Rubbish.

 I've been playing this afternoon after my brother challenged me to some Kinect sports. I won't mention that I beat him in both Football and Volleyball. 

The problem is that you get so tired and sweaty playing one game that you end up playing more. I ended up with about 190 points of achievements from kinect today across three games. Now for a shower.

 Played the demo of sonic freeriders. While the game it self was pretty poor, it had some neat touches and I think if some one put the effort in, a decent snowboarding/fun hoverboardy style game could be put to good use.

I liked the way you could jump and change your stance and do tricks, but I imagine the full game would lack some depth.

 The children love it. Amusingly they unwrapped the games before they had unwrapped the xbox/kinect, so I was like, "but we don't have an Xbox, so we won't be able to play the games...Oh well, let's open the rest of the presents. Why not that big one just there..." The crestfallen look they gave me was worth it for the look of joy they gave me as they opened the xbox.
Kinectimals was a big hit, with my 5-yr-old daughter picking up the basics straight away. Now my son also wants a pet, but he wants the black panther instead.

after more hints than is humanly possible Mrs Sleaze bought me a Kinect for xmas. Adventures is good fun and I'm very impressed with the voice control on things like Last FM.



Just been into town to spend my xmas vouchers and got Kinect sports and Kinectimals (for the Mrs,she loves cats honest!).

 Had a full house over Christmas, with mates and family coming around. The Kinect was by far the biggest hit, the Move and Wii remained untouched. Perhaps it's because Kinect offers something new, but there wasn't a single person who didn't give Dance Central or Adventures a crack and enjoy it. Plus it worked flawlessly, managing to ignore the plethora of people moving in front of whoever was playing and none of that glitchy controller recognition that I seem to have with Move.

Whether it will remain as fresh as it seems now is up to MS and devs to continue to innovate, but with only Child of Eden and that Brain Training thing on the horizon I fear the dust might start to accumulate. Mind you, that burn 10,000 calories achievement for Your Fitness is going to take a lazy arse like me some time to accomplish.

Similar Christmas to Rod Hull. We have a Wii, Xbox and PS3 and the PS3 and Wii were left off on Christmas day. The kids love Kinect - esp Kinectimals.

I can't see myself playing Kinect too often, at least not with the current games available, but for kids it's an absolute winner.

 Got Kinect Sports as a late Xmas present and must say I'm very impressed. Can't quite get the hang of the boxing but all the other sports are a joy (especially bowling and football). Granted it's a blatant rip off of Wii Sports but it seems much more intuitive and less of a chore to get it to do what you want.

Played some more Sports last night, boxing is really good and once you get the hang of it and stop trying to mimic wii sports, the bowling was great fun too - i managed 5 strikes in a row and was recorded punching the air in celebration

 I think I just found a little "easter egg" with Kinect.

Go to Profile > Game Defaults > General > and change your primary and secondary colours. This will effect the "Hot spot" colour in the Kinect image in the corner. Not all of them seem to make a difference but with my selection of "primary: Black" and "secondary: Purple" my hotspot is purple.

I thought purple was the normal colour for it until I saw my brother's Kinect.
