My new console and Kinect have just arrived. A little bit annoyed that I will have to buy an adaptor to sit the sensor on top of the TV.

It's very nice and shiny. It's crently flashing at me while the console updates itself.

I just stuck mine down so the missus can't knock it off when cleaning.

Anyone got a clue how to save off your freestylin' from Dance Central which is simply a hilarious game if you enjoy laughing at your family members, and yourself obviously,

Shoot me down if you want lol.... but in terms of tech and polish... Kinectimals wins out of the games I picked up so far

It is basically a collection of simple mini-games to gain collectables and open new areas, but it uses the kinect really well. I've played volleys with my tiger, have thrown a rubber chicken around, driven around a RC car and also made to look an idiot jumping and spinning.

The kicking of a ball is much better done than kinect sports, and the remote control car actually works really well, while i don't find its a stand up to it's own game type control system ala 'Joyride', I think for mini-games its good fun. The throwing is a little off though, as it only wants you to do underarm and sometimes doesn't let go of the ball unless you snap your arm back a bit, but the frisbee is good fun.

Must mention the graphics and polish, absolute quality, the animation, and attention to detail throughout is really top notch stuff....

I may not be the game's main target audience, but it's just good fun, and if you were someone that ever had nintendogs and had no issues with letting others know, you might enjoy this quite a bit lol.... Let the name calling begin

disclaimer: 'playing with tiger', 'thrown a rubber chicken' or any other statements within this post may not be turned around and used as some lame joke...

Sadly no fluffy toy for the girlfriend, the game staff tried to scan through the special edition but it wouldn't go through in the bundle deal. Apparently you get barcodes with them for in-game items, but I found a forum yesterday where people have posted images of the barcodes so others can unlock the items...

It would have been better if they'd programmed the Tiger's etc into the game, so that instead of a barcode, you buy the tiger and then hold it up to the Kinect so it can scan/identify it a la your Kinect ID and unlock it in the game that way, like they suggested you could do with things like in that Milo and Kate demo and the kid with the skateboard in the Kinect trailers. Sadly they haven't.

Although I find it a bit off that fully grown men are saying they're tempted to buy a game because it comes with a fluffy tiger toy... (unless of course young children want it)

It was purely so I could carry out objective research on all the Kinect launch games.

Be my guest, I've enjoyed Kinect a lot so far through Kinect Sports, I have Adventures and Dance Central still in their wrappers waiting to be played and I can understand the temptation of wanting more games for it.

I've found myself just saying "Xbox Kinect" or going into Sky Player just so I can mess around controlling it all with my hands and voice commands, it's great fun.

I haven't got Sky Player so I haven't been able to try that. I'm a bit miffed it can't be used for the normal video plaer as that is still what I use the XBox most for. I hope it comes in a future update.

I still have Dance Central wrapped, which I hear is one of the best games. All I've "played" today is a fitness routine on Your Shape. I'm absolutely knackered and certainly feel Ihave had a workout. I can only tell how good it actually is after I finish a full program to see if it is worth it, but it looks good so far. Only problem I had is that some exercises didn't recognise my movements. I think that may have been because I was wearing black jogging bottoms and it doesn't seem to pick up the legs very well. I also found that with my hair down the top of my head kept vanishing. Very strange.

Hmmmm.... I've discovered a little exploit with Sky Player here... Free Sky.

Thanks to the Kinect controlled version, I go to last watched live and it takes me to a free channel, but then I wave my hand, change the channel and I can watch channels I shouldn't be able to watch live like Sky Sports, fantastic

Just tried this and it didn't work for me. I've had a look and it will cost me 30 a month for all the channels and I'm not sure that is worth it.

I had to have a medical at my GPs the other week for new patients. I was weighed and unsurprisingly had put on a stone and a half since last weighing myself a couple of years ago. (Now up to my fighting weight of 14.5 stone). She also checked on her BMI and said I was borderline obese

After playing Kinect for half an hour last night I can safely say that i'll prob be down to 12st this time next year.

Your Shape Fitness Evolved has had me sweating my knackers off. The boxing routine can be quite grueling. I originally wanted to do half an hour a day but I've had to swap it to every other day to start with as my arms were hurting too much!
