Now granted im not a LOTR fan but jesus, The Hobbit looks absolute rubbish.

Im a big fan of Taken but i have a feeling that the sequel will suck because they actually brought back Maggie Grace and have her tasked with rescuing her dad ( Could be wrong about this of course as i get the distinct feeling from the trailer that either she or her mom will get killed prompting mucho Neeson wrath on the baddies ).

Total Recall remake will suck because Colin Farrell is in it.

Anyways, I'm pumped up for Anderson's The Master. I will watch anything PTA does, and the fact that he has re-teamed with Philip Seymour Hoffman makes me even more excited for this.

Dredd and Killing Them Softly are also shaping up to be pretty interesting in their own ways.

Even thugh I enjoyed Die Hard 4.0, I suspect Die Hard 5 will be utter dogshit. I'm praying it's an ejoyable enough 120 minutes of action, but taking McClane to Russia to save the world seems too ridiculous, despite the obvious increase in scale through each movie (Building, Airport, City, Country, World) I just have a really hard time with the set up in DH5. Plus John Moore is a terrible director, he's in the same league as Brett Ratner and Tim Story, truly fucking terrible. Although I did actually enjoy Behind Enemy Lines.

As for all the Hobbit talk, as much as I'm looking forward to seeing it, I think it will fail to live up to the promise set up by the LOTR films. I'm sure it'll be a servicable film, well made and played etc, but I can't see that it will reach the level of appreciation from the GA that the original trilogy did.

John Moore is a hack, but I believe that every hack has at least one good film in them. Die Hard 5 could work with Moore at helm.

I lost all interest in The Hobbit when they announced they were dragging it out over 3 films.

I fully expect it to make a bucket load at the B.O. but I'll be surprised if it keeps my attention all the way to the third installment.

I suspect John Moore's one decent film is Behind Enemy Lines. It's not half bad. Die Hard 5 is going to be fucking gash. The only way it will be half decent is if Willis is on fine form as McClane, he was so nearly there in Die Hard 4.0, but the scrapes he found himself in occasionally felt too big. I suspect the same will happen here.

It's still the same film from 2002, but with some pointless 3D slapped on it.

Captain America - Joe Johnston??! They give the most important/iconic/legendary comic book hero to Joe Johnston to adapt?? Did they see his CV? Why not give it to someone who has watched a film before?

Toy Story 3 - saw the trailers/teasers, where was the humour? Why are they ripping off the story from the first film? Why can't Pixar just do something original like the Newt film they scraped or throw Toy $tory 3 in the bin and give us John Carter of Mars now.
