Reading all these posts makes me feel I've got alot to look forward to.

One question though, can you have 2 companions at the same time, aslong as there not both human? ie, Rex & Boone
I was of the impression you couldn't have 2 at the same time thats all.

I loved the Brotherhood Of Steel so I don't think I'll be wiping them out.

Deathclaws.......hate them! I got to a point where some guys told me to go round via the Highways as the place between them and the Strip was crawling with Deathclaws. Me.....I thought, nah, can't be that many. Fuck was I wrong! Thankgod for the 3 Stealth Boys I had in my inventory. Used everyone to get by them, then ran into some people called 'The Fiends'! Picked up what looks like a 'Laser TommyGun' but had no ammo and plus it was pretty badly damaged so traded it later for H20. (due to Hardcore Mode)

All in all, loving this game. One question, are the Enclave in this somewhere?

You can indeed have two companions, but your limited to one humanoid and one non-humanoid. As for the BoS, I'm a fan of them from the past games but for some reason had no qualms about wiping them out this time (plus I did quite hands off). Finally the Enclave do not make an appearance in NV, but you never know what the DLC has in store!

I've not done the NCR missions yet. Where do I find them?

Once you've tracked down Benny at the Tops casino and completed the Ring-A-Ding-Ding quest, you'll be approached by an NCR chap (and a legion one as well I think) and they'll set you on the path toward the NCR endgame via the NCR Amabassador in The Strip. If the NCR think you're a prick you probably won't get approached though, so go off and be nice to the rangers for a bit.

Hmmm, the NCR guy did approach me - I take it that's the Fort marker on the map? Anyway, no time for that nonsense. Looks like I'm a drug runner now.

I've just cleared out the Ghouls at the REPCONN Station by helping them fix 3 huge Rockets and pressing the lift-off button.

Was very tempted to change the course and make them crash into each other but instead I made it so they landing 12.5% closer to there destination.........as I'm a very nice man.

Another question Rod........Am I right in thinking that if you manage to kill a member of a tribe without another one of the tribes member seeing you, you won't lose respect with them?

Glitch or Just My Game/Xbox???

I was just wondering if anybody else playing this game has come across this glitch?

I have got to the Legions Base where 'Caesar' is and there is a Travelling Merchant. Everytime I go up to him and speak with him it glitches. It wait until I've made some trades with him and then when I go to complete the transaction, I hear a beep and then the whole game freezes and I have to switch off my Xbox.

Anyone?

No idea matey, I'm yet to have a glitch in the game which has to be a world record. There's no mention of that bug on the Fallout wiki as far as I can tell. As for your question about stealthy murder, my understanding is if you do the deed away from prying eyes you don't suffer any bad rep.

After 30 odd hours I've had to restart it maybe 5 times. I'd say four of those it got stuck on the loading screen (roulette wheel just keeps spinning) and once I got stuck on scenery trying to climb a hill.

Another couple of glitches.....

I'll be walking along with my rifle and all of a sudden the gun jumps up the screen so it looks like my character is holding the gun above shoulder height. It resets itself if I crouch. And sometimes the gun disappears all together. Anyone???

These couple of glitches don't effect gameplay or anything so it doesn't really bother me. I was just wondering if it was my game/Xbox playing up in some way and I should be worried!?!

Apart from all this I'm still loving this game. I had to go see the Boomers today.............OMG....WTF!!!

Even with that guide to avoiding the Artillery, it doesn't really work when a car explodes next to you just when you think you've made it to safety! SAFETY............WHAT SAFETY! Even 'Stealth Boys' don't work which is alittle backwards but what the hell, I made it after the 20th try! Just made a run for it and stuffed 2 doctors bags, 3 super stimpaks and a bottle of dirty water down my neck and I arrived at the front gate to be met with a man with what looked to be a Nuke Launcher on his shoulders. lol

I've kind of got myself into abit of a mess with the game really. I've got so many missions on the go I'm losing track. Everytime I go to complete one, somebody else will ask me to do something for them.

The Legion want me to kill 'Mr House'!
Mr house wants me to make contact with the Boomers and get them to join him.
The NCR Embassy want me also to make contact with the Boomers and get them to join the NCR as they have enough ammo to sink 10 battleships!

Decisions decisions!!!! What to do!

Finished this last night. Loved it.

I should have done a bit more exploring and a lot more side quests but I got a rush of blood to the head near the end and just wanted to see what happened.

*** SPOILERS ***

Some great missions. Saving the President was good and taking the walk to the Legion camp and fighting all the way with Boone, some NCR and a Securon on your side.

Which ending did you settle upon in the end? My personal favourite was Mr House's one. Great game though, certailnly felt more like the Fallouts of old rather than the slightly po faced Fallout 3.

I took the Wild Card ending. I felt a bit guilty killing Mr House when I seen him and even thought twice about fucking over the NCR.

So what are people's conclusions about this? I've heard it's a glitchy and samey experience, almost a lazy add on pack to the previous game...

Nah (at least not on PS3). I put nearly 40 hours in and never had a problem with it. There was a massive patch released that sorted most of it out.

I did have to restart a couple of times but it was just stuck on a loading screen and the Auto Save is fairly forgiving.

PS3 or 360?

Anyone else finding this game very hard to get into? Like where to begin and choosing a path on the map? My character from Fallout 3 had nearly everything and now it just seems like so much effort to start a new adventure.

I loved it although was pretty annoyed that you could only take a perk every other level up which i guess made you think about it a bit more, bring on the dlc!!!!

Finished the DLC a few days ago- my god what a dull slog that turned into constantly wandering  round in effectively a dark maze isnt my idea of fun.

Loved the game though- my favourite of last year

Any ideas when the next DLC is out?

And after that read, I don't think I'll be bothering with 'Dead Money DLC'.

Hopefully they will bring out aload more DLC like Fallout 3 and if so, I'll get it all together. Talking about glitches, as I've mentioned in a couple of post above, when I'm walking along with a rifle it will suddenly jump up the screen so it looks like its about shoulder height.
It corrects itself if I crouch or aim the weapon but I don't quite understand why it does it as none of you guys have mentioned the same problem.

It doesn't make the game un-playable......it's just alittle annoying sometimes.

I would get it for the level cap increase at least, especially considering perks are every second level. I say this having not yet played the DLC, so it might not be worth it at all. Erm. As you were.

I haven't had a chance to play this for a good three weeks or so now, which makes me sad. Reached lvl 30 just before Christmas though after a rather amazing/terrifying mission involving retrieving eggs from a Deathclaw nest, wearing a Stealth Boy and managing to avoid getting the attention of any of the blighters inside. One of the best missions in either 3 or NV that I've come across so far, loved it.

I'll still probably wait to see if they bring out anymore DLC first. I'm in no rush as after I've finished :New Vegas I still have plenty I can be getting on with in terms of games.

How many companions are there? I've come across Boone, Rex, Lily, Cass and Raul but haven't seen ED-E or Veronica so i have absolutely no idea where to find them.

ED-E is in Primm, the first house you can enter on your right as you walk in to town. Veronica is at the trading post near Camp Golf. Take a pretty dress with you and she'll love you long time.

Boone is probably one of the best. I took him with me up to the mountain where all the Mutants are and he can certainly look after himself with his 'Sniper Rifle'.
I also gave him some decent armour and a 'Flamer' and he's pretty good to have with you in close quarter fighting. Lots of scorched flesh I can tell you.

Haven't really bothered with any of the rest. Rex, the stupid dog who runs off the minute he smells someone just gets in the way......or gets himself killed!

Apart from all that I've put this game on hold for the time being until I mop up the last few cheevies on Fallout 3 and another game. Then I'll finish this off and hopefully by then they would of brought out some more 'decent' DLC.

I picked this up yesterday with the remainder of a load of Gamestation credit I had - I'm embarrassingly excited about playing it, I was hooked on Fallout 3 big style. Gettign stuck into CoD Black Ops at the moment but I think once I've made a dent in that I'll make a start on some wasteland fun!

Never played any of these Fallout games before (due to chronic underfunding) but after seeing Toby Turner's gameplay videos I think I might pick it up and see what's going on.

Im still so stuck on this! I found Fallout 3 much easier to play as this is so convoluted (along with the numerous glitches) it can become pretty frustrating at times. Not even sure if i wanna go back to this, due having put a huuuuge amount of time in already and now not liking where my character has ended up!
