FRWL & OHMSS are among my favourite Bonds, so the fact that, in my book, Casino Royal is at eye level with them should be enough to show in what a high regard I hold Craig's first outing.

Both the silly Bonds and the relatively earnest Bonds have their merits, but I think it was about time for 007 to take himself and his job a little more serious. I personally prefer DAD to TWINE and TND, but boy has it aged badly. With this in mind I even accept the relatively poor QOS, whose problems I largely blame on an arrogant director and a very tight schedule.

I'm certain you're not taking up the cudgels on behalf of invisible cars and John Cleese's dreadful Q, are you?

In the last effort, Bond forgot that he gives ordinary wee guys like me the whisper of a thrill; if I want a pretentious bore, I'll chose Radio 4; let's hope they go back to the magnificent nonsence that has kept it going for nearly 50 years.

Can we please have some perspective on this? THIS IS BOND! There should be a bloody national day of weeping and wailing. Frankly if you can place little men with big hairy feet on the same level as that, you need your head testing. Whatever, I'm sure ther's those that love it etc etc and will want me lynched - no matter.
And worse than that, this means that that Paul Greengrass will be having a lovely time claiming that Bond is shit etc and good riddance.
Bollocks to Bourne. Bond (especially Craig) beats the lot.
Someone buy MGM quick and get Dannyboy back in track!
