Rejuvenator AKA Rejuvenatrix (1988)
Everyone knows my love for latex. Erhem!! That is latex effects and not clothes. Rejuvenator was one of the last in the 80's gooey horror movie trend with elements of the Fly (1986) and Dumplings (2004) within its short but entertaining running time. The story revolves around Elizabeth Warren (Vivian Lanko), an aging actress, turning to her scientist boyfriend (John Mackay) as a potential guinee pig candidate for the testing of his new serum offering eternal life. Early results prove impressive with Elizabeth returning to her past glory and beauty. But this is a horror movie and you know sooner than later the shit is gonna hit the fan and it does so - big time!
This is by no means a classsic but it is highly entertaining nonetheless. Most people have never heard of this entry, so give it a go. The effects are fairly impressive and it is good fun. 6/10

Oh my God me mam used to work in a vhs rental store i remember begging her to let me rent this ages ago. Ah memories.

Remember, Mama knows best.

Two very recent beer movies

The Stath doing stuff that'll make you cheer and spill your beer!

Also the Brucey Bonus of Amy Smart being semi clothed and shagged again!

Damn right she gets it again

And she likes it (I wish). Here's a question for you DJ. Who do the is the most shagged actress in movie history? I think Patsy Kensit, Kim Cattrall, Demi Moore and Miss Smart must be up there in the poll. Porn actresses don't count although maybe Demi Moore might fall into that category with her crap acting skills?

I think Starship first then the comedy second as i'll be merry by then and laugh even more. I kinda like the idea of combining films with similar titles.

Sounds good but you could argue that Starship Troopers is more of a comedy. On the same theme what about a triple bill of Deep Rising with Treat Williams, Deep Cover with Larry Fishbourne and Deep Throat with Linda Lovelace?

That's a lot of deepness. Maybe American Gangster with American Pie and American Splenour.

Julianne agrees.

Ah, that reminds me, I've been meaning to see American Splendor for a while now. Is it any good?

Julianne's last partner.

God, haven't seen any of those!!!

Start with Spacehunter as it one of the most dreadfully marketed sci-fi's ever with its 3D campaign. It's actually a really enjoyable Mad Max style romp with some interesting action set-pieces (the giant maggot men and chemical kiddies being suitably creepy) and Michael Ironside is criminally underused as the grotesque and deadly Overdog. The latter's Takeshi Castle/ Krypton Factor style assault course that he sends our heroine through at the end is spectacular.

Ice Pirates is all a bit silly but has one or two nice touches. I particularly enjoyed the final battle where the hero and villains go through a timewarp mid-battle. We end up with a bunch of geriatrics struggling to fight each other - quite funny.

Another farewell tour from Status Quo?

I've still to grab an uncut version of this but completely off it's rocker and in the best possible way. A severed head giving a woman oral pleasure is a cracking selling point.

Because he breaks a guys neck and says "He's dead tired" and he drop a bloke off a cliff and says to the love interest that "I let him go". You can almost hear the symbols clash and Basil Brush shout "BOOM, BOOM!!"

Ha ha Ice Bandits looks great in a slightly crap way!  I used to always come across Spacehunter in the video shops, used to always pick it up, then I would see something else I wanted more and put Spacehunter down.
