 Being married with kids, I only very occasionally get the opportunity to dominate the viewing activity on the TV and DVD. This thread is dedicated to those type of movies that go great with beer, lager, wine, spirits or white spirit (and maybe a kebab, curry etc) when you have the house and TV to yourself. Now I'm not talking about porn here, although that might be your desired choice? I'm talking about flicks like Evil Dead 1 & 2, House, I'm Gonna Get You Sucka, Maniac Cop, Braindead (Dead Alive), Zombie Flesh Eaters, Shogun Assassin, House, Phantasm 1 or 2, Crimewave, Darkman, Creepshow, Thunderbolt and Lightfoot, The Untouchables, Street Trash, Howard the Duck, Xtro, Flash Gordon, Tron etc etc.
Perhaps you could share with me some of your favourites that are only enhanced with the power of the brown bottle or tinnae.
My last venture into the beer movie vault was The Rejuvenator. A gooey and hilarious gory horror from the 1980's. Does anyone remember this one? I certainly goes better with a six pack of strong beer.

I think you've hit the bullseye with each of those nominations. After drinking several bottles of 20/20, a pal and myself nearly keiched ourselves laughing at Arnie punching a camel out in Conan the Barbarian, but the closest I have ever been to soiing myself laughing was the above nomination. That horse killing scene does it for me everytime - painfully funny. Predator 2 is just fantastic ultra violence and Enter the Dragon - classic Bruce Lee. Great beer movies.

Incredible, thats how my list would look too!! The early Steven Segal stuff is great, he was a vicious man and made for a real interesting change from the Van Damme (i'll only fight if i have to) style. Don't get me wrong, i love Van Damme, its just Segal was a vicious son-of-a-bitch "you give me what i want i'm-a leave here a nice guy. You don't, i'm gonna fuck you up!"

I've still to see the sequel but the first is an action classic on acid. Strangely it is just as unbelievable watching it sober as on a barrel of beer.

Strange that he didn't go for the self-mocking tough guy family comedy like Sly's Stop or my Mom will Shoot or Arnie's Kindergarten Cop? He certainly filled the 'violent action' gap left by these guys moving to more family orientated action movies.

Rejuvenator AKA Rejuvenatrix (1988)
Everyone knows my love for latex. Erhem!! That is latex effects and not clothes. Rejuvenator was one of the last in the 80's gooey horror movie trend with elements of the Fly (1986) and Dumplings (2004) within its short but entertaining running time. The story revolves around Elizabeth Warren (Vivian Lanko), an aging actress, turning to her scientist boyfriend (John Mackay) as a potential guinee pig candidate for the testing of his new serum offering eternal life. Early results prove impressive with Elizabeth returning to her past glory and beauty. But this is a horror movie and you know sooner than later the shit is gonna hit the fan and it does so - big time!
This is by no means a classsic but it is highly entertaining nonetheless. Most people have never heard of this entry, so give it a go. The effects are fairly impressive and it is good fun. 6/10
