Yeah I saw that offer too - however be aware that there are quite a few products it doesn't apply too. Pretty much all apple products as well as most laptops and notebooks. There were a few others too.

Still though - great offer if you're after a cd or something.

Nope. I thought maybe they were but it was the real deal. Bloke behind the counter said something about an HMV warehouse clearance. Guess they couldn't sell them and so made them ridiculously cheap. They'd probably just have trashed them or something otherwise. Doubt they'd have lasted long there were only a few copies there and my mate bought one as well, as did the lady who was in front of me in the queue.

Dont miss out on amazon's end of summer sale, where boxsets such as Bones seasons 1-5 are 35.47 and Buffy seasons 1-7 is 41.74, other things included in the sale are blu-rays and DVD movies.

Hurry though it's only gonna last two weeks and at those prices I doubt the stock will last that long.

That works out to roughly per item (series and movie) 4.44. Tempting to get but I know I`ll never watch it all again.

I`m not a huge fan of the series Goodnight Sweetheart but this is really good value if you are and want the complete six series collection. 12.97! It`s a deal of the week at Amazon like the 24 complete boxset is for Play so if you want them cheap you better hurry an get them now..

Terrible news. On one hand the goverment probably does need the money but on the other it will hit sales and consumers which won`t help the economy.  If companies want there HQ`s in VAT free parts of the UK surely they can`t stop them but I suppose if people are buying the goods in the UK it could be argued they should pay full VAT prices.   Amazon UK isn`t based in a VAT free area and they still have some good deals so maybe it won`t be too expensive.

I now realise that there is a thread on this topic in the News section. Still, it has obvious relevance to this section too.

Bought this for my dad (I like it too) it's not the big chunky set.  It's been re-packaged in a smaller compact set.  Like two DVD cases put together.  Still good value though...

That's the thing.  It's only a bargain if you'll watch it again... which I won't.

Well, irrespective of concerns about Play elsewhere, that's my copy of the 24 set arrived - in perfect sealed condition
