Compared to America any kind of gun-related crime is still very rare.

It is, but guns aren't what I was directly referring too, I was talking mainly about knife crime which is still a recurring problem, especially in London.

I am very glad I am out of there to be perfectly honest.

The thing is someone with a knife, whilst dangerous, does not cause as much damage as rapidly as someone with a gun and cannot cause as many casualties as quickly. This is not to say that knife crime is a very dangerous and bad thing.

Obviously. I just think knife crime is still a serious issue in certain parts of this country and despite the sharp rises since 2008 I still haven't seen the government tackle it the way they have promised they would.

Far from the most balanced article but it appears that once agian the government are being questioned over misuse and misrepresentation of statistics.
