This thread will contain submitted films for the Done In 60 Second Competition held by Empire.
I thought that that would be a nice way to easier watch all submitted entries and see how many there actually where. It will also be easier to have discussions touching all different films. It's not a must to have your film listed here, it's entirely optional, but it might be fun to share it with others and perhaps recieve some comments about it from other film enthusiasts :D

Terminator Salvation - Submitted by Alan Mandel & Jon Nobbs (UK)

Congrats to all who were shortlisted. Quite a few surprises in there to be honest, but at the end of the day it is down to the Empire team. It is always good to know that there are a bunch of other passionate filmmakers out there though, keep up the good work guys.

BA BA BUM BA BUM.

The ones that have made me laugh consistently on Youtube were the Terminator Salvation above, and the Irish Sommersby (in a two minute edit here).

And if you want the full Volleyball...  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=osnaC7VrSS0

Here's our remake of The Evil Dead II. I prefaced the youtube version with a plot synopsis because I knew most of the people who'd end up seeing it wouldn't have any idea what was going on, which I kinda regret doing now.

Enjoy!

Have just watched the Terminator Salvation one, easily the funniest entry I've seen. Loved the Christian Bale voice p**s-take!

Twas funny Dtingle! Maybe that you could have made it a bit more chaotic, I don't know might just be me not getting the point as well ;) Felt as if those 60 seconds lasted very long tho as if you could have crammed in more scenes. But I don't know really, I liked it nonetheless :)

Hi there, we are Sommersby, I have just put up the 60s edit now....
We obviously had great fun making it so doesn't bother not being nominated.
and it links from there to the 2 min version.
Good luck to all, havn't seen all yet but loved the animated Predator.
Thanks for the interest.

Hello Spancillhills (or Alan and Alan),

Thanks for putting up your one-minute version of Sommersby. Strangely enough, I prefer the two minute version. I like the gentler 19th century pacing to it, and miss the "that's not on fire at the moment..." tailing off. The looks that both of you give to camera are absolutely priceless, but for some reason they lose something when they're speeded up for the one minute version.

But thank you for causing me much hilarity over the last week.

Maintaining this thread is time consuming as ***.. Still I'd like to see as many entries as possible listed up there :)
If a moderator could help out with editing etc. it'd be appreciated. If there are any active around?

When submitting your entry here you don't have to write it as I've shown in the first post, it isn't copyable (colors won't stick and it gets messed up) so I have to do it from scratch anyway. Just post your film name, link, name, nationality :)

Yes, well deduced.  Thank you very much for the kind words.  Our 2009 entry wasn't a finalist that year (neither was my brother's entry in 2008) but we were lucky in 2010.

By the way, here's a Russian one I found.  I'm afraid it took me a while to realise what film it was, as I haven't seen the original.

gotta ask, does everyone think the departed deserved to go through? just watched it there. thought there were better irish films submitted. it seemed a bit like they just took a line of dialogue every 15 seconds and crow barred it into 60 seconds. there was no real attempt in boiling down the story (which is a common flaw in a lot of entries to this competition). i showed it to my elderly neighbour and he nearly had an epileptic fit. there will be blood deserved to get through though.
