OK I know what you're thinking; HIM's gone mad! It's way too early. We're still five months away from the World Cup! But hold on son, there's method to my madness. See the draw for qualifying took place today at 1100 GMT. And here's how it went down: Group A: Germany, Turkey, Austria, Belgium, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan Group B: Russia, Slovakia, REPUBLIC OF IRELAND, FYR Macedonia, Armenia, Andorra Group C: Italy, Serbia, NORTHERN IRELAND Slovenia, Estonia, Faroe Islands Group D: France, Romania, Bosnia-Hercegovina, Belarus, Albania, Luxembourg Group E: Netherlands, Sweden, Finland, Hungary, Moldova, San Marino Group F: Croatia, Greece, Israel, Latvia, Georgia, Malta Group G: ENGLAND, Switzerland, Bulgaria, WALES, Montenegro Group H: Portugal, Denmark, Norway, Cyprus, Iceland Group I: Spain, Czech Republic, SCOTLAND Lithuania, Liechtenstein There'll are 9 groups in total with 14 places up for grabs, with the co-hosts already through. The winner of each group goes through along with the best runner-up. Then the eight other runners-up go into a two legged play-off for the remaining four places. So we've got Wales which will be a great atmosphere at both those games but overall it should be pretty plain sailing.
