Sooooooooo anyone picked up the Blu-rays? I've got season 4 and 5 but it is a bit pricey for the other sets. Saw HMV selling 1, 2 and 3 for 60 each!

Also, who thinks it is going to be a reset? I'm starting to think they may get shoved forward in time to Evil Locke and his folks. Surely they are going to have to reunite them all at some point?

If they reset it wont be a full one. Either way I've developed enough faith the writers from last season that they are going to take this to an interesting place.

Cant wait till next week.

The only thing I fear - as discussed in the previous thread - is that there will be a lack of Desmond this series. For shame I say!

Didnt he fall out with the crew and producers etc and sexually harrassed someone or something.

You're right that its a shame as he's pretty much my favourite character.

Really? I never heard that! Got a link for that? I remember everyone claiming that they fell out with Claire and that's why she wasn't in Season 5....

About Desmond's status, (this is so vague that no-one should consider it a spoiler, but avoid if you want):
Apparently Desmond will be in season 6, and will even get his own centric this season.
And about Claire (again, not really spoilery): she's in season 6 as a regular

Didn't realise it was so close. I was going to watch them all again in preparation for Season 6. I'll just have to do it when the show is all over now.

Really looking forward to it, although I might actually watch the last few episodes of season 5 so I can remember where it left off.

Yes cant wait for next week to come. The 1st 5 mins of episode 1 of every season has always been great, usually with some on screen music being played (12 inch records feature highly), so cant wait to see how it starts.

BTW Spartacus....like the Human Traffic reference.....Love that scene...

Has anyone played Lost: Via Domus? Seems like the ending of the game has actually become quite significant!

I don't know why that had to release that clip (it was given away in a competition on a USB). It makes avoiding spoilers much harder!

The first hour of the premiere is having a public screening tomorrow as well. I'll have to stay off the internet until next week

Can we please have no discussion of that clip until after the episode has aired in the States? After all that effort not releasing a second of footage before the episode aired, I don't understand why they had to go and ruin it with that clip. I've already had it slightly ruined, and now I'm scared of going on the internet until after Tuesday!

Doubtful, thats why it starts so late,so it should finish during the 'sweeps'. There may be a gap between an episode or 2

Whoever asked about the Blu's, they're 34 a pop on Amazon, I got two for Christmas and bought the third myself, already had 4. Zoomed through them really, stupidly quick. They put the HD broadcasts to shame, totally worth your money for me, although obviously you'd probably be able to find the full set for about 120 with an extra disc(confirmed on blu ray.com) around Christmas most likely.

I'd never rewatched 2/3 or 5, and watching them all in once was actually quite good, some things obviously came together nicer and made a bit more sense, but obviously you see all the flaws at once and there is a lot of them, but if I let them get to me, I wouldn't have bought them in the first place, you got to deal with these kind of problems with these shows. 2 was better than I when I initially watched it years ago when downloading, a lot better, the tailies are still completed wasted for the most part though and that story arc is quite dull with the exception of Eko who I always liked.

Words cannot quite express my excitement and apprehension over this final season. For me personally, I suspect it's either going to seal it's place as the most amazing tv show I've ever seen ( Band of Brothers will forever be untouchable for me, so the list of my favourite shows starts after it) or the show that could have been just that.

I remember loving the show right up until the moment Ben moved the island... For me that was a jump-the-shark moment and I almost didn't carry on from there. However I decided to give it a chance and it definitely proved me wrong, with the element of time travel eventually becoming fundamental to the whole story, and I've not dared to question it ever since.

I'm not one for owning t.v series (again, BoB is an exception) as I generally find that despite loving a tv show I'd never find the time to sit down and watch it all again (I have to finish what I start, and in the correct order too, and if it's something like 6, 7, or 8 seasons long then that's a lot of hours I could be watching an entirely different and new series in), however I've been waiting for this final season of Lost for me to decide whether I'll buy the whole shebang or not. If it ends in such a manner that it's a disappointment for me, then I won't be able to watch the whole thing from scratch ever again knowing what's in store, but if it delivers then I can't wait to have that journey to look forward to again. (I've not watched any of the previous seasons since they all aired)

And on a slightly sad note, whilst staying with my brother and sis-in-law recently, the latter started talking about her uncle who died a few months before Christmas last year from cancer. I'd met him several times myself and he was a lovely, friendly and very funny man who doted on his family. Anyway, apparently the day the doctor told him he only had X amount of weeks to live his first words were, 'Oh, now I won't get to see how Lost finishes.'

So now, I suspect, myself, my sis-in-law and her family will all be watching the final episodes with a little extra purpose.

Was on JoBlo earlier looking at a trailer and the ad before the clip was of Lost and appeared to show new footage. I quickly muted my sound and looked away until it ended and just caught two words from Locke. Nothing ruined but it is a bit strange that after all the fuss about not revealing any footage they are suddenly chucking it all out right at the end of the wait. I bet this is the result from some brainless turd in a suit conducting market research. They managed to pretty much get away with showing no footage before the Season 2 premiere of Lost and instead had short tone poem type ads featuring the major players - that would've been cool this time round!

I saw this too, but I was weak and watched.  Heed the warning people, ads are out there and , even though it is a fucking stunning ad, it does seem to give away a lot.  Still, I've seen it now and it has only served to rachet up my levels of anitcipation... such a good fucking ad.  Also, another 4 minute preview is doing the rounds, no huge spoilers in this one but it does directly follow one of the pivotal scenes from the season 5 finale... tread carefully on the interwebs fellow losties.

Bit of a theory or perhaps a plot hole: If the man in black has been manipulating Locke throughout to get him to die and return to the island, why did Christian ask him to say hello to his son (Jack)? Thus, making Jack and co. return to the island. What purpose do they have in his plan and it seems many believe when Jacob tells Evil Locke (is there a cool shortened version yet, like Blocke?) that 'they are coming' he is referring to Jacks pack.

Er, I can't quite recall how things played out exactly, but I've just watched Episode 0 (the recap episode) and with that and my original thoughts after seeing season 5 in mind, I think Evil Locke is kinda implied as one of the ghost manifests that (I assume) come from Smokey.  Smokey manifests as Christian and tells Real Locke to say hi to Jack, this is essentially what makes Jack 'follow' Real Locke.  It's what makes him a believer in Locke's story about returning to the island.  Locke then gets murdered by Ben, which allows Smokey to imitate Locke in the form of Evil Locke, and so he can then manipulate Ben in to stabbing up Jacob, which is part of the 'loop hole'.  Jacob says 'They are coming' and I think after initially seeing it, I thought it was reference to Jack and Co in the 70's blowing up JugHead and resetting the timeline, which would alter thing in the present between Evil Locke, Ben and Jacob.  But Jacob could be referring to the guys from the Aijira flight, they have the proof that Real Locke is dead and that Evil Locke is Smokey/MiB.  I'd forgot that Jacob visited Illana off the island and her group appear to be on Jacobs side, which I think is implied as 'good'.

Jesus, my head is fucking mangled now....

Can't wait to find out what the loop hole will allow the MiB to do, and to find out what the overall 'game' they seem to be playing is.  The latest ad, the one with actual footgae of season 6 shows another visual reference to the dark and light stones, so there is obviously some light vs dark, good vs evil kinda vibe going on, but in what capacity? Thats what's so awesome about this final season, it will reveal everything.

The one thing the recap doesnt cover much is Desmond, Rose and Bernard.... someone fill me in, what the fuck is going on with them.  Des has a kid, I remember that much... where did he go during the finale?  Rose and Bernard were in the 70's with Vincent were they? There is so much I can't remember!!!

Rose and Bernard were living in marital bliss in the forest (although, Jack soon put a stop to that with a bomb) and they were with Vincent as well. I'm sure Vincent used his magical dog powers and saved them both.

As for Desmond - he was in hospital last we saw, after Ben pumped a shot into his gut. Ms Hawking and Widmore went to visit him and each had a little paddy. Seems like things are drying up on his side of the story in all honesty.

BTW: One of my pet peevs with Lost - surnames! Yes, I know it is needed to hide surprises but Faraday's Dad is Widmore and Mum is Hawking so where did that come from? Likewise Miles. I think there has been another couple of examples of this as well!

Waking up this morning felt a bit like Christmas, such was my anticipation of this. It didn't disappoint, although it certainly fed off things that have become tropes unto themselves in the show.

A couple of blistering reveals, too.
