The above description of 'Dream House' sounds a rather lot like (not that it is Helen's fault) the plot of 'The Amityville Horror'...
Evil husband kills family long time ago in big spooky house, new family with hot wife move in and, o, husband goes crazy

there must be either an amazing amount of zeros on the cheque or an incredible twist to the story. Otherwise, as has been pointed out already, sounds boringly familiar!
And is there any wonder new interesting, original ideas for movies get passed over when people line up to do stuff like this.

I want to see Craig do other stuff in between Bond, but this ain't it.
