I dipped into Invasion yesterday. Pretty cool mode I'd say. Though what is the difference between the Elites and the Spartans? I thought I was getting mowed down a fair bit as an Elite. I never got the chance to be the Spartan in that mode so not sure of the difference.

I played an Elite Vs Elite game yesterday too. The feel a lot faster than the Spartans. Once you get used to using the roll it speeds up the game too. Maybe the Elites are faster but weaker? I thought it was the other way round before ...

I always thought the elites were stronger, but i'm not sure. I really like invasion, makes a nice change from the other maps and having vehicles back is great.

I find it kind of hard to win as an elite, getting that power cell thing out is pretty hard once it gets out side you just get spammed with frags.

The size difference is cool to, seeing them tiny little spartans.

I'm still not sure on this game. It doesn't flow like Halo, it's slower and all the weapons have been rejigged which IMO it didn't need. I miss the old BR.

So far I can happily say I prefer MW2 to this.

I haven't got a capture card or anything, you buy bungie pro(750ms) witch basically expands your file share and allows you to render clips in your file share on the web site.

You get a certain number of render minutes each month, but you can buy more.

It reminds me of Halo 1 a lot.  Was never the biggest fan of all the jumping around in 3.  Put up with a lot of dislikes in that game to play with friends, the BR was overpowered and needed to be changed/removed imo.  The DMR is just a single shot BR.

The beta is not without it's problems but I'll definitely be picking it up.  Got RDR and BFBC2 to tide me over until then.

And yeah, Elites are stronger/faster/bigger and have more health/shields.

I care ...  I've enjoyed the beta. But I don't want to spend ages on it, when I could be making headway on actualy retail games.

I like the size difference between Spartan 2 series 'Masterchief' and the newer but weaker Spartan 3 series. nice to know there is a Spartan 2 series in the group and maybe he is playable in co op.

Even though I got rid of my X-box, anything Halo still peeks my interest. Wasn't too fussed for the demo of this but I hope it turns out good. May even have to borrow a 360 for a shot of this.

The new 360s are whisper quiet, that was sort of half the point in the redesign, I can't even hear mine running.

I'll definitely be getting this. Had a hands-on with it last week and thought that it was superior visually and gameplay-wise to 3 and ODST. It just all feels more intuitive and the single-player seems to go back to the ways of CE for inspiration.

Scabby - you had a hands on with the campaign?

How was it visually? It looks like an improvement but its hard to tell with the Halo series as gfx have never been its USP!

Some previews I have read say its a beautiful game...the trailer looked good but I wasnt blown away...

That's true; I can't remember what sounds it plays, but ejecting the disc tray and turning it on both elicit Halo-noises.

I'm massively excited for this, especially Forge World and the return of the groovy magnum.  This, Fable, and Kinect pretty much all make my year.

Forgeworld looks absolutely amazing!!!

Im sold for this game. I just hope the single player is satisfying. Telling the story of humanity loosing a battle on a horrific scale rather than a road trip round space with Arbie and the chief.

And for the record, as soon as they make a multiplayer mode which simulateously has teams fighting on both the ground and in space, we may be on to the greatest star wars game ever.
