Woo and most definitely hoo! Yeah, the most anticipated program this year :) I still have to watch the fifth season again (been through a complete re-run) but I'm waiting for Amazon to deliver it (due to the bad weather)

Please, no spoilers in this thread.

Seconded.

In the meantime...a little taster from the 'pedia that is Wiki:

Executive producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse stated that they "always envisioned Lost as a show with a beginning, middle, and end," and that by announcing when the show would end that viewers would "have the security of knowing that the story will play out as we've intended." Lindelof and Cuse stated that securing the 2010 series-end date "was immensely liberating" and helped the series rediscover its focus. Lindelof noted, "We're no longer stalling."The producers also plan to wrap up long-standing mysteries, such as the nature of the smoke monster, the four-toed statue of Tawaret, the identity of the Adam & Eve skeletons from the season one episode "House of The Rising Sun", and the reason the Dharma periodic resupply drops continue after the purge.
Lindelof has also indicated that Walt's unusual abilities may be explained, although this may not necessarily require the character's direct involvement. Matthew Fox stated in an interview that in the final season, the characters of Jack Shephard and John Locke "will come head to head." A third of the way through the final season, the two time lines will be "solidified into one" and "will be very linear no more flashbacks, nothing." He has also claimed to be the only cast member who knows the ending of the series, though Lindelof has clarified that Fox only knows things that are relevant to his character.
During Comic Con 2009, numerous sixth season reports were made. Carlton Cuse stated both the time travel and flash-forward seasons were over, and they're moving into something different for the sixth season. Josh Holloway stated his character Sawyer would revert to his old self after the loss of Juliet. Though Cuse and Lindelof stated that the Dharma Initiative will no longer play a large role in the show, they have said that the "Dharma-Michigan connection" will play a significant role in season six. Lindelof has stated that the producers had a direct hand in the production of the season six promotional poster that was first displayed at Comic-Con, and that everything in it is intentional; he also made a reference to the Abbey Road cover in connection to the poster. Season 6is the first and only season of Lost ever to not feature any kind of preview or official promotional material such as sneak peeks and promo pictures for future episodes since the Lost producers considers any single frame from the first episodes to be too revealing. According to Lindelof, "even a single scene from the show would basically tip what it is we're doing this year, and what it is we're doing this year is different than what we've done in other years"[/link][link=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lost_%28TV_series%29#cite_note-78]

Unquestionably this is the most I've ever been looking forward to a TV Show.

Holy Fucking Shitballs!!  I cannot wait for the return of Lost!!

How the holy fuck is it going to play out and finish? I don't know, but I can't wait to find out. Please don't fail me now Lost!

It really will feel like an 'event' when Lost finally finishes.  Gawd knows what TV shows I'll be able to obsess about when Lost dissapears.  FastForward? Er, I fucking doubt it.

This would be the one where they couldn't quite manage an original idea for the season promo pic? They could at least have waited a few years before copying BSG

I've bought my season pass from iTunes (don't have Sky, Virgin etc) and not sure whether to save up a few episodes or watch week by week.  It's so much more rewarding to watch en masse but not sure I'll be able to resist the temptation.

I thought Sopranos/BSG was the other way round - but I didn't bother much with the former so my dates are probably out.

Da Vinci actually. There's a pretty great read here charting the use of the Last Supper in popular culture. Of course the M.A.S.H one is probably the best, but there's millions of them!

The Sopranos one is actually from 1999! It was photographed by Annie Liebowitz too.

I think I liked BSG's Last Supper cast photo the best.

But I cannot wait for Lost to start up again.

Has the February 5th date been confirmed? I thought that was just a rumour. It seems a little odd that they'd air it on a Friday.

I actually read it on the official Sky microsite...but it seems to have been taken down! I know that ABC are getting it on Feb 2nd and we're not far behind.

I can't see them aring this on a Friday night.  I'm guessing it'll be on Sunday like every year (after 24) so that'll be the 7th

Can't wait for this. Have just got Sky for the first time recently, so this will be the first series I've watched while it's running since it was on Channel 4.

Sky seem to be pushing the Firday Nights In quite hard recently. Movie premieres and this going head to head? Weird.

Still can't wait.

Still no "official" word on the premiere date, but darkufo's cotact at Sky says that the date is indeed February 5th:

http://darkufo.blogspot.com/2009/12/lost-season-6-uk-gets-premiere-date.html#disqus_thread

It suits me. Trying to avoid spoilers for 5 days would have been much tricker.

Someone who works for sky is on that site and he is says he can guarantee that it won't be showed on a Friday.  Have to say, that makes no sense.  Why not Thursday?

Ive been re-watching them since November, just bought Season 5 to fit in before Feb now!

I've possibly never been more excited about anything in my life, which might go to show how sad my life is.

You're gonna watch all five seasons in 21 days? You'll be sick of it! I've been re-watching them for a few months now and I'm three eps into season 5.  What a stupid day to air the show.

Why? Let's face it, it's the final season, if you know it's airing you're going to watch/record it. It doesn't really matter which day it's on as most people who have watched the previous five season will be looking forward to this in a way that could almost be sexual.
