Never done one of these before so thought I might join in. Would love to hit the 100 mark - tried it last year, didn't go well.
// Only doing films I've seen for the first time // favourite of the month // * = cinema //

January (12)
Daybreakers (2009) *
Half decent, back to basics vampire flick. Beats Twilight.
Youth in Revolt (2009)
Just plain strange. Not sure about this one really.
Up in the Air (2009) *
A beautifully warming film, kudos to the cast.
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975)
An interesting film, but not really my sort of thing.
The Road (2009)
A touching story about a father and his son's survival.
Memento (2000)
An excellent watch. Wasn't too overly impressed with the acting.
The Ringer (2005)
Funny at times but not the best comedy.
The Book of Eli (2010) *
Enjoyable tale but I felt it lacked something.
27 Dresses (2008)
A cute, romantic chick flick that wasn't a indecent watch.
Invictus (2009)
A truly inspiring piece of work, outstanding performances from Damon & Freeman.
Awake (2007)
Terrifically twisting, Awake is a well brought together film.
Donnie Darko (2001)
Unusual, weird but truly magnificent!

February (15)
Fight Club (1999)
Violent, bloody and fast paced, definitely one of my favourites.
Edge of Darkness (2010) *
Thrilling but felt like something was missing. Not a particular Mel Gibson fan either.

Brick (2005)
Edgy, hard-hitting drama. Enjoyed it very much.

Saw IV (2007)
Really? They should have stopped after the third.

La Hora Frķa (2006)
'The Cold Hour' delivers are rather unusual and unexpected take on horror.

Before the Devil Knows You're Dead (2007)
A crime thriller at its best. Beautifully shot too.

Adventureland (2009)
Cute, and funny at times. I enjoyed this a lot.

The Prestige (2006)
Christopher Nolan never fails to impress me.

The Departed (2006)
Old school crime thriller - very enjoyable.

The Wolfman (2010) *
Just terrible... really.

Saw V (2008)
A vast improvement on the tacky fourth.

Monsters vs Aliens (2009)
Actually a really good fun kids film.

Deja Vu (2006)
Not a bad film, frustrating ending however.

The Bone Collector (1999)
A tale of crime - gotta love a bit of Denzel!

The Lovely Bones (2010) *
I'm frustrated with this, it should have been a 15!

March (18)
10 Things I Hate About You (1999)
Predictable but enjoyable - aww for Heath Ledger!

Body of Lies (2008)
Interesting, enjoyed the twists and turns in it.

30 Days of Night (2007)
Just meh, could have been scarier.

Vantage Point (2008)
Could have been so much, really disappointed.

28 Days Later (2002)
Everything that shouldn't of worked... did, and well.

Zombieland (2009)
America's answer to Shaun of the Dead - decent enough.

The Hurt Locker (2009)
Very good - definitely Oscar worthy.

28 Weeks Later (2007)
It was promising to begin with but then became rather dull.

Terminator Salvation (2009)
I actually enjoyed this, wasn't a bad film at all.
Watchmen (2009)
I got bored with this in parts but the ending pulled it together well.

Green Zone (2010) *
Surprisingly really good and Matt Damon never fails to impress me.

The Eye (2008)
Had potential - think I'm gonna check out the original.

Indiana Jones & the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008)
I really wish I hadn't bothered, no where near as good as the originals.
Alice in Wonderland (2010) *
Surprisingly enjoyable - very Burton.

The Bounty Hunter (2010) *
Meh, funny at times but that's all.

Se7en (1995)
I actually loved Brad Pitt in this!

Saving Private Ryan (1998)
Magnificent tale of war.

Nowhere Boy (2009) *
Dramatic and brilliant tale.

April (11)
The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999)
An extremely strange tale but very much enjoyable.

Shutter Island (2010) *
Oh man, this film had me guessing the whole way through - loved it!

Kick-Ass (2010) *
As a great man once said, "wait till you get a load of me".

The Blind Side (2010) *
I don't really understand why this didn't get more Oscars? It was really good.

Let the Right One In (2008)
Superbly written, filmed and edited - an excellent alternative vampire film.

Yes Man (2008)
Unfunny, rubbish and dull - meh.

Clash of the Titans (2010) *
This was more disappointing then I even expected - psh

Taken (2008)
Fun, fast-paced action :D

12 Angry Men (1957)
Interesting psychological concept of conformity.

Stardust (2008)
Took me ages to get into it, but once I did, I loved it!

300 (2007)
I found it quite dull and the over-exaggerated slow-mo was annoying me.

May (12)
El Laberinto del Fauno (2006)
Love, love, loved it! Del Toro you legend.

The Happening (2008)
No Sixth Sense. No anything, absolute rubbish.

Friday The 13th (2009)
Loved the opening sequence, then it just went downhill.

Dear John (2010) *
Cute film, boring in parts though.

How to Train Your Dragon (2010)
This was actually a present surprise, very cute film.

I Love You, Phillip Morris (2009)
Plain strange to be honest, quite clever too.

Angels & Demons (2009)
Nowhere near as good as the first one. Predictable too.

The History Boys (2006)
I actually found this really funny. :)

Sorority Row (2009)
Not too bad, got quite predictable though
[Rec] (2007)
Love this!
The Last King of Scotland (2006)
I really enjoyed this, much more then I thought I would
(500) Days of Summer (2009)
Cute enough, not overly brilliant though

June (5)
Notes On A Scandal (2006)
Unusual, creepy but kinda of amazing.

Anchorman (2004)
Ridiculously funny.

Wild Target (2010) *
Despite the bad reviews, I actually enjoyed this.
Good Will Hunting (1997)
Very, very good. I really think Affleck-Damon should collaborate on more films.
Insomnia (2002)
Christopher Nolan = flawless.

July (4)
Drag Me To Hell (2009)
I heard it was good from several sources. Turned out to be utter rubbish.

Inception (2010) *
Absolutely brilliant. Nolan is the man!
Drillbit Taylor (2008)
Alright. Kind of funny.
Toy Story 3 (2010) *
Perfect film to finish a perfect trilogy.

August (21)
Guess Who (2005)
It was cute enough but it got rather boring.

The Green Mile (1999)
Brilliant piece of film. Loved Tom Hanks. A bit too long.
The Hot Chick (2002)
I found this ridiculously funny, it was pretty stupid though, hah.
What a Girl Wants (2003)
This got rather annoying but it's probably the perfect chick flick.
Made of Honor (2008)
Eh, it was crap.
Good Luck Chuck (2007)
I enjoyed it. I love Dane Cook.
G-Force (2009)
A really good family film. I actually really enjoyed this.
Save the Last Dance (2001)
All dance films are the same - I swear.

The Informant! (2009)
A nice performance from Damon - was a little boring.
Sunshine (2007)
Whilst the visuals are beautiful, the story loses itself.

Requiem For a Dream (20)
Absolutely brilliant.

The A-Team (2010) *
Enjoyable remake. Good for just an easy watch.

Red Eye (20)
Was actually disappointed by this. Loved Cillian Murphy though.
Salt (2010)
Pretty average - Jolie's typical kind of film really.

Public Enemies (2009)
Not bad. Outstanding performance from Depp.
Following (1998)
Took me a while to get into but I thought it was put together well.
The Karate Kid (2010)
Meh, fairly average again.
Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010) *
Love, love, love this! Ah, one of my favourites!
District 9 (2009)
I actually loved every bit of this film.
The Perfect Man (20)
Typical really. Filled my need for a chick flick.
Braindead (20)
Over the top and gory - love it.

September (2)
The Pursuit of Happyness (2005)
Well, em, it was okay. Loved the Smiths in this.

Teeth (1999)
Don't really know exactly what to say about this parcel of rubbish.

An interesting piece of film.

Well performed and written piece.
Sin City (2005)
Just awesome.
Despicable Me (2010) *
An interesting piece of film.

Oldboy (2003)
Fantastic. An excellent watch.

Paranormal Activity 2 (2010) *
Em, well, not as good as the first but a good carry on.
Saw 3D (2010) *
Uh, it's just boring. Very cleverly written though.

November (2)
Moon (2009)
An interesting piece of film.

The Social Network (2010) *
Actually loved this; a David Fincher masterpiece.

December (4)
Burn After Reading (2008)
An interesting piece of film.

Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 (2010) *
Excellent set up for the final film. A little bit boring in places.
Iron Man 2 (2010)
Just as fun as the first one.

The Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader (2010) *
A nice instalment on an enjoyable franchise.
