Because it just doesn't make sense that discussion of the list should be made to fight with administration.

Numbers #999-955 are now live. Celebrate. Bitch. Discuss.

More of that is welcome.

And a great thank you to you, rawlinson - if it weren't for you, this thing would never have gotten around. Were this an awards dinner, I'd ask everyone to applaud you right now.

It's going so fast my head's spinning - putting all over lists to shame, even the Profs!

I've edited in the MDB blurb.

I'm ignoring the fact that Transformers got into 1000. Maybe 100000 - but only when you passed the cut-off and started adding bad 'uns.

I feared the presence of BraveHeart - I rejoice at its utter lowliness.

You do have a great Scottish film in the top 100, Brigadoon is number 93 so you can take comfort in that.

I'll ban PA to stop him thwarting me and start editing your thread if that happens.

I'm tempted to fake an entry for Brigadoon just to see the reaction now. If I have to put up with How Green Was My Valley you can put up with that.

I'm a little disappointed by how low Shoah is. I'm wondering if it just hasn't been seen by enough people.

Everyone doing blurbs I haven't sent a pm to yet is going to get a big list each by tomorrow night, btw.

Apologies for the review delays, I'll do Casino Royale and Ostrov today. BTW, elab, I see you still haven't used my Vinni Pukh blurbs

I was sulking.

I'll add them in when I do the history stuff - I was going to send a master list with every entry/blurb to all the counters as well if you'd like. Just to have it.

The list looks incredible, so far. Truly epic, perhaps definitive?

Terrific work by all involved.

You've got to admit though - Shop on Main Street followed by Transformers really is your actual sublime to the ridiculous.

Nice work guys. May I suggest an update in the thread title and what page they can be found so it's easier to access?

Edit: As the list goes on, of course.

I think the "Now Live" thread is for updates only, so you don't need to skip past chat.

I see now that double blurbs was not a good idea, especially since TheDudesAbides completely owned me as far as writing goes for Blood Simple.

Yeah, but someone (probably PA) should keep the films listed so far on the first page.

Out of the... 4, 5 I've seen (curse you, lack of film education! Curse you!), Collateral's the pick so far. But great start to the list, keep it up.

Edit: Make that 8 films. Suck that PA, who's populist now huh?!*

*Films I've seen include Speed & Transformers. Don't be angry with me.

Glad to see this is finally going guys! It looks great as well PA.

So looking through the list so far, I notice none of mine have turned up. Im seeing this as a good thing

Its nice to see Duck rabbit duck in there and Island, just so that there are a few shorts. Any chance you can reveal how many made the cut?

Yay for Speed!

I am really disappointed to see Intolerable cruelty in there and Transformers.

I am also wishing I had voted for Motorcycle diaries now, as it should be higher And Pinocchio

So how quickly are you expecting to get through all of these anyway?

I'd complain that some are too low (A Bridge Too Far, Pinnochio, Hail The Conquering Hero) but i didn't vote for them anyway. Of course i can say that about High Plains Drifter as that is definitely too low!

I've seen 20 so far and there's a few i haven't heard of so i look forward to seeing them one day.

I was going to do that, but the size of the list means it's just going to look ugly on the front page. I'll do it like rawlinson does his top 300 - list updates every so often, and then a full list with all links at the end.

And until then you have the search function for the thread.

Not without going through the 1000 one by one and marking off shorts. A lot of the usual suspects have made it though, which was nice to see.

I have that problem as well.

A suggestion would be that we could keep a running list in the administration thread, we can edit it into the first post while the list is running so everyone will know where to find it.

How about adding hyperlinks to the running list so people can simply click their way to each post/film? It wouldn't be such a hassle since each post (and thereby each link) contains groups of films.
