Fair enough. Sorry for the overkill there. Just trying to progress the discussion. no harm meant and I'd not taken offence or anything either. I can see where you're coming from.
Just doesn't seem right to me though to try to balance out the numbers when making a list which is supposed to reflect your favourites.

Cheers for reading the list and taking time to comment.

Man On Wire is British, isn't it? Which is why it won Outstanding British Film at the Baftas.

Great list, btw - plenty of interesting and unique choices.

Yeah, it did didn't it. But also it won 2 world cinema awards at Sundance, hence my confusion as to what exactly counts as a foreign film.

I guess Sundance consider British films "world cinema"? The plonkers!

I think of a foreign film as something A. Not in the English language and B. Produced outside of Britain or America. That's a completely personal view of it though.
