 Can somebody please help me.... I'm trying to remember the name of a TV show and it's really bugging me.

It was on Channel 4 about 6 years ago and was on around 9 or 10 in the evening. I think it only ran for one series which lasted for around 6-8 episodes. It featured an English guy who met and started dating a girl from New York. My memory is a bit fuzzy, but I think either the girl was in a band, or her ex boyfriend was in a band or something. The show featured the usual stuff about how they got on but y'know, what with the distance could they really have a proper relationship and all that stuff. I think the title of the show was something to do with their situation, so it was something like East/West or something similar that described that they lived far apart.


I missed the last episode, so I'd love to know what it was called so I could catch up with it.....

Possibly interesting but probably not really bit of trivia: they made a pilot for a US version of this, but probably because they realised that it was an even worse idea than doing their own version of Coupling, it wasn't ordered to full series.

 I think this must have been late 80s / early 90s. US series set in the future, guy driving round in a big truck, with guns I think. I'm sure there were guns involved.

Need help remembering the name of a kids tv show from the 80's.
It featured puppets, a flying boat, possibly a chewbacca like character, and the bad guys had spacecraft shaped like bugs. Possibly it was japanese.
Please help.

Sketch-type show (think Vic and Bob with various skits linked with to-camera stuff) broadcast on either BBC 1 or 2 within the last three years or so, may have been a pilot as I never caught another episode. Presented by two male comedians in their late twenties or early thirties, may have had a music number. Had one scene set in a locker room for a pool or gym where the 'stupid' character of the two asked 'is it true the JK in JK Rowling stands for Jaffa Cakes?'

I'm well enough versed in comedy so I know it's not any of the somewhat obvious answers like The Mighty Boosh or Snuff Box. Probably wasn't even that funny but it's the not knowing that's killing me. Thanks chaps.

 Can anyone help me with naming a kids show from the late 80s? I've mentioned it to friends but no one can remember it. It was on in the afternoon and was about a boy going from place to place trying to collect tokens or something like that. At the same time a witch (or something) was also trying to collect these tokens. She might have looked into tea leaves sometimes. The sets were typical cheap British ones, maybe a street in a town with a white backdrop.

 Being wondering about this for ages. Children's animation done in the Japanese/french Manga style about aliens who all had special powers that were similar to stationery products. Used to be on very early morning as part of the DJ Kat show on Sky 1.

 I have another kids show from the early 80's that I can't find any trace of......

They were puppets ( in the style of Button Moon I think )
The main character was a rabbit.
There was an evil small Dragon or Crocodile who was always trying to eat the rabbit.
The crocodile was called Gnasher, I think, and he kept his sets of false teeth on a washing line......

Anyone got a scooby ?

Ok guys really need help with this it's bugged me for years, as far as i'm aware it was a one off puppet based production (possibly Jim Henson?) about a boy who has a green toy Dinosaur/Dragon? which comes to life. I remember possibly the boys mother had recently died / or was ill. I watched it late 80's early 90's cant be exact. The boy had a fear of the fish in the fishmongers on the way to school.
Im sure it was British.

If anybody can help me with this I would be eternally grateful its bugged me for so long i'm starting to wonder if I imagined the whole thing.

Can anybody help me - I have vague memories of a TV show (think it was on ITV) where various regiments from the British army competed against each other.

I can't remember much about it, but one of the rounds was a "patrol" through the woods where there may or may not be booby traps - I think the first year it was won by a team that marked trip wires with silly string that they brought along.

If anybody has any ideas I'd be grateful

 OK guys, i really only saw one episode of this but it was a cartoon that featured a boy with a super robot who lived in his closet i think and in this particular episode a evil genius enlarged loads of zoo animals and the robot had to fight, obviously we aren't talking transformers' level of fighting robot but it has been nagging me for years . . . i can't even remember where i saw so if this turns out to be dream of my own creation i call dibs on it

 Something that I remember from 80s children's TV. It was the main contributor to my fear of clowns and was a short drama that I thought was an episode of Dramarama, but can't find evidence to back this up. Basically 2 kids playing in the back garden lose their ball over next door's garden. One kid goes looking for it... and this is where it goes mental... get's lured into the house by a creepy ass clown! If that wasn't bad enough the kid then goes into the cellar, where's there's loads more bloody clowns taking part in some sort of circus and the kid has to join them. Now this just seems like a very bad dream, but I remember it vividly. Does it ring a bell with anyone else?

Edit. Think it could be this, although there's no mention of kids and cellars.

Yeah Starfleet rocked! Especially the theme tune

Chief Wiggum, the show you're talking about is called Combat and was introduced by Anneka Rice and the late Emlyn Hughes, it would have been around 1986/7 and they showed it on a Saturday around 6pm

Fuzzy, I remember your show, it was children's ITV, the lead character always repeated other peoples words and rather resembled a monk with a shaved head and robes, it was called the Sandman or something?

Anyone know this one? An evil sorcerer kidnaps medieval maidens and hypnotises them into drowning themselves in a pond. One asks him to turn around whilst she undresses then strangles him with her ponytail. In another ep she dresses herself up as a highwayman and robs her fiancee who's on a stagecoach but he refuses to give up his engagement ring to her. She later reveals to him what she did and tells him that if he'd given up the ring she'd have shot him because it meant he didn't love her. The woman is very beautiful, I think she's Irish and I think she sang the theme music too? Despite it's subject matter I think it was a kids show

Ok.

An east European offering on British tv. It had animation of galloping horses on title and booming Russian type song over main titles, I think it was called Michael strogoff or something like that about a Russian (?) and has some fighting I think. Sometime in early 70's to mid 70's.

Driving me potty thinking of info on it. Please help.
