Any Press Gang fan must have laughed out loud when Fletcher turned up as Nathan's dad.

This is easily up there with the best of British TV this year IMO - a brilliant sideways take on the hero genre, absolutely superbly shot and very well written. I loved the little bits where you work out the 'how' of their powers - particularly first epi when you realised why the rewind was so important to Curtis. And worth watching all 5 hours so far just to hear the baby call Nathan a prick!

Nah, the Dog calling her a dirty cow cos he's just been licking his balls was the best bit for me.

That's one of the best things about it for me. It looks fantastic. Whereas most British shows often look 'amateur' this one has eschewed paying big bucks for a rubbish star name and instead invested in the production of the show and the writing. Of course they do have the odd cameo which i'm really enjoying.

The ratings have been pretty good so far for e4 so hopefully this will carry over to C4.

Quite happy with the darker aspects of it, Simon is turning into the league's invisible man.

Just watched last weeks episode on 4OD. Definitely a bit of Hollow Man about Simon.
Is next weeks the final episode? Looks like everything gets a bit (more) mental. Nathan running about with a gun?

Edit: Just remembered the bit with Simon describing what happened when he got caught setting fire to the house!

Great news. Nothing written about a Channel 4 airing though, strangely. Surely this needs to be tried on the mainstream channel too.

That is excellent news! This has been an extremely enjoyable series, much better than I hoped for.

Nice to see Nathan's power kicking in at last!

Well, unless you're Nathan

Does anyone know where the series was shot? Because that pond/estate location was made to look pretty amazing. Loved Nathan's speech - very reminscent I thought of the 2 longish speeches in Queer as Folk - like the long one Stuart rants at his dad in the back garden.

And who was that masked man? (Well, kid with red hoodie, anyway).

Accoring to Wiki it was filmed around Southmere Lake in Thamesmead and the old Runnymede campus at Brunel.

I know, bit of a sucky power to come into really, especially considering the circumstances!

As for the kid in the red hoodie, according to Simon Bellamy on his Facebook profile, it's someone he keeps seeing, but never sees his face. He's freaked out by him It's superhoodie!

That was awesome. Great to hear about the 2nd series too.  After Nathan died I was waiting for him to climb off the fence or something.
I've really enjoyed this series, wish more people had seen it, I try to explain how good it is to people, but never feel like I'm doing a good job.
The only thing that has been a bit off for me has been the viral-internet aspect, I, kind of knew about the hoodie from Facebook, but I think if you hadn't seen any of that it seems a bit out of place in the actual series when he turns up.

Still, get cracking on the new series, I'll be there!

I know nothing of the hoodie or the internet viral stuff. I just figured this would be explained in future episodes. Am I wrong?

I've been assuming the biker in the hoodie would be explained in the future, otherwise it seems a bit random!

Unexpectedly enjoyed this series. Obviously Nathan was the one who did it for; what a nutter.

What a brilliant series, shouldn't have worked at all but actually did very well, easily one of my television highlights of the year. Bring on the next series!

I'm sure he will be explained.  All I'm saying is, when he just pops up like that, it's a bit off.  I'm sure all it would have taken to tie it in a bit more was to show him in the back of some long shots or somethin every now again.

Basically on Facebook, he's been seen in glimpses by the other characters.  Following them about and what not.  His face was covered, as if it is going to become a reveal, but with the cast being so small I can't think of anyone it could be!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Misfits_%28TV_series%29#Super_Hoodie

Super Hoodie An unknown individual dressed in an orange hoodie, 'Super-Hoodie' first appeared in one of Simon's videos helping a member of the public, and featured on posters both on the E4 website game, and in the show. The first appearance was in Episode Six, riding in on a bike to help Nathan escape from a group of Virtue teenagers. His face is concealed by a hood and a black mask, and it is unclear if has an ability. He is later seen in another of Simon's videos, demonstrating extreme parkour skills before talking to Simon. He reveals that he's been watching the Misfits and he's aware of their powers, and they should all think about why they have their powers and what they're going to do with them, "and then we'll talk". It seems likely that his ability is linked to the acrobatic skills he has displayed. In the video he never shows his face but he does speak in a seemingly undistorted manner, meaning that it is likely not a character previously seen.

This is a savage show, me and my sister flicked onto the very last episode and we were hooked. Nathan is a hero, best thing in it and that's not cause i'm irish myself i genuinely think he's a ledge. Since than i've watched the whole series online to catch up and wow, what a show
Am delighted there's gonna be a 2nd series although i hear it isn't gonna be aired till november so i think i'll have to buy series 1 on dvd to keep me going till then.
best moment had to be when nathan bricked sally's car

Sally: what are you doing!?
Nathan: it's just pure mindless vandalism!
Sally: are you mentally deficient!?
Nathan: if i was mentally deficient i'd have missed

Glad you enjoyed it.  Have a dig around the Youtubes and the Facebooks to keep you going.

Nathan has commented on Simons videos in the last 3 days!
Must have a 3G Phone down there.

EDIT: Although, not sure if it's legit Nathan profile.
