Suprised no-one has started a thread already.
It's a show about a small group of young offenders serving ASBOs who are caught in a storm and gain superpowers.  First Episode was last night.

I thought it was pretty good.  Especially liked the Mind-reading Chav Girl.
Can 't see the reasoning behind the mouthy Irish guy, yet.  He just seems to be a collossal prick with no redeeming features.
Have to say on the list of superpowers, the ability to get instantly raped has got to be pretty low down!

yeah i really enjoyed this, although i think with the superpowers they had clearly got to the end of a long meeting:

writer 1- right, finally, what about the bird with the big tits?

writer 2 - .....ppphhhhhh..... could we just make out that everyone wants to fuck her, could mean she gets her tits out more?
 
Agreed that the irish bloke is just annoying, but maybe thats going to be mirrored in his power when revealed, the others clearly mirrored their own personality (the chav who is worried about what people think of her, the freak who always feels invisible, the shamed athlete who wishes he could turn back time and the sexy chick who clearly thinks everyone wants to fuck her!)

 Watched the first 30 mins, and found it a little 'meh' and then realised it was on for an hour and found myself turning over to Russell Howard on BBC3 instead. I did laugh a few times, and I've recorded the episode, so I'll watch the rest tonight. It does show promising signs, but the Irish character is a momentous annoying cock (I know he's supposed to be too).

Its an interesting and quirky concept, I'll give it that.

It looks promising.  Stylistic nods to "28 Days Later" in some spots too, I thought - which is always good to see!

 I really enjoyed it, nicely tongue in cheek in a few places and certainly not aimed at the younger generation.

 Caught up with this last night via Virgin On Demand, and I have to say, I was very pleasantly surprised!!

After seeing the ads I was going to give it a miss.  It appeared to be sold as Skins meets Heroes, I can't stand either so I wasn't sold.  However, I gave it a go and it was pretty damn good.  Stylistically it appeared to have a lot in common with Dead Set, (does it have the same production team?) and I thought the editing, camerwork and effects work was all pretty good. 

I appear to be in the minority in that I actually quite liked the Irish fella.  'Liked' might not be the right word really as he's obviously supposed to be a bit of a prick, but the guy playing him is doing a good job (and he was superb in Red Riding). Also, although the Chav Lass has the single most annoying voice in this history of television, she was easily the best written character and I think she could be pretty good in the long run.  The one character I didn't really like was the 'outsider', he was written badly and the actor is fucking it up even more. 

I like that it isn't taking the subject matter too seriously, but I hope it doesn't get too comedic, which it looked like it might be given the 'This Time Next Week' preview.  Nice surprise anyway, and I'll stick with it to see where it goes.

This is where I am too, it was a lot stronger when it had a comedic slant on the subject, (the crack about heroes only happen in America and where did that happen, on Jeremy Kyle?  No, In Argos!) rather than when it tried for gags, the dog's thoughts being a particular flat point for me.

I can see where you're coming from on the outsider, he is a bit too weird, but he did get a nice character touch at the end.  When he was stood in the middle of the group of popular people, happy.  Then, looked in the mirror and realised he was still "invisible".  So, I hope for a bit more of that.

Also, any show that has me and my housemate gasping in shock, definatly guarntees itself a second episode.

watched this on E4 on demand, was pleasantly surprised as well. I did like Skins, well the first series, but I don't think it was much like that at all. Worth a watch of the second episode.

 Watched last weeks episode on Wednesday night (4OD). Made me want to tune in last night and I'm glad I did. I think it improved on the first episode quite a bit, so much that I've series linked it.

I quite liked the Irish lad (Nathan?) and felt quite sorry for the old dear (Ruth?), not so much that I'd....y'know....do it again but you know what I mean.

Really liked the 2nd episode, a lot.  Think it was a good idea to humanise Nathan early on after the series opener.  The rumours are that his power will involve some sort of  transformation.  If you pay attention to the credits, there's a clue there.

I burst out laughing at the scence when they were dancing with the old folks and the Chav-Girl was throwing out drum-and-bass moves to the old guy in the wheelchair!  I'm really liking it.  Liked the part when the Outsider (still not up to speed on character names, besides, this way it's like they have Superhero names!) said to be ready for the other people who will come after them "because that's what happens".  Good character touch and good to see a show about superheroes that's set in aworld where people know about superheroes in Pop-culture.

Also, I seems to fancy almost every female involved, even Nathan's mum!

 Just watched the first 2 episodes and really enjoyed it. I'm finding all the characters interesting and will be good to see them all use their powers properly. The Irish bloke is irritating at times but thats the point and in the 2nd episode he had a really touching moment. Hopefully that will calm him down.

That was really good. Really glad they're not all stupid so far, although burying the bodies when there would have been loads of forensic evidence to back them up was a but stupid!

He's also in the new Nic Cage film, Season of the Witch. Set for the dizzying heights of D list if he doesn't watch out!

I have to say I am absolutely loving this programme. It's funny, it's poignant at times (poor Ruth) and the way the group are coming together is really sweet.

There's actually a new slant on Nathan's Powers. It makes a bit more sense if you think about it.  A character profile has him down as the boy who cried wolf.  Some people are saying that his powers will be speech related.  In a way that his constant bullshitting is going to come back and get him.

"If I was mentaly deficient, I would have missed!  That was dead centre!" 

Next Week looks good. 
I just found out that if you follow the chraracters on Twitter and Facebook, they are dropping hints about a whole other story strand, about a mysterious hoodie that keeps popping up.  I can't decide if that is awesome, or cheating fans of the show, who won't find any of this out till Episode 6.

That was a good episode, even though you could figure out the change the future a few times then reboot, well in advance.

Next week looks great.
I'm loving this series.  I really am.  If the response on here is anything to go by, seems like most people who find it like it, but that not many people are watching.  A massive shame.

 Yea, really enjoying this.  Thought I would fucking hate it, but it's actually pretty decent.  I was hoping after the first three episodes that they would open it up more, bring a little more scope to the powers and take things further out of the rec centre where they seemed to spend 90% of the show.  Haven't watched episode 4 just yet, but the preview seems to indicate they are indeed opening things up a little.  Am looking forward to seeing how it develops. 

Anyone know how many episodes it's running for?  Also, is it likely to get a Channel 4 repeat, cos I reckon it will look stunning in HD, there are some really nice shots here and there.

Just caught up with Episode 5.  Awesome.
Thought we were finally catching up on Nathan's power, but guess that's still to come!  Series Finale next week.  From the trailer, it looks quite bizarre!
This is probably, for me,  the best show of the year.

I do wonder why Sally the probation worker never got to wear anything, but grey.

 Just to add, after my initial scepticism toward this show, the missus and I are now totally hooked. The last 2 episodes have been fantastic. Loved the Ground-hog day style dumping of the girlfriend 

Hopefully the viewing figures are good enough to justify a Channel 4 repeat, where it can pick up a larger audience.
