This is my most wanted film at the moment!
Sure there are plently of other great movies due shortly (except Avatar... It just looks a big like Episode 1)
I think Mr Burton will do a brilliant job with the material, ok, i'm not expecting it to be as good as the classic Disney version, but it's gotta be better than Charlie & the Chocolate Factory!

I want to be excited by this. I love Johnny Depp and Tim Burton both, but this has every sign of being Charlie and the Chocolate Factory 2 (which, yes, is a bad thing).

The cat still looks like one those stupid emoticon thingys in my book.
I was excited by this, but my hopes are slowly dwindling. Too much CGI, an Alice who apparently can't get her dress to fit over her chest in the trailer and that stupid cat!

A very bad thing. I've grown up with all Johnny's films and I'm a massive fan of Burton in Original Mode but his Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is one of the worst things I've ever seen, especially for a big fan of the original movie. I fear him falling into that same trap with this film too but I'm praying it doesn't happen because this could be excellent.

I saw the trailer for this at the Imax screening of Up. The part where the Cheshire Cat floats towards the screen was truely amazing. Am definately looking forward to this one!

I can't believe how cynical a lot of people are being in regards to Tim Burton's upcoming film. I for one can't wait to see his own take on the classic Alice in Wonderland story. I'm doubtful that Johnny Depp can outdo Martin Short's sadly overlooked spot-on Mad Hatter in the hit and miss 1999 TV movie and that the film can be any better than the 1951 Disney Alice in Wonderland, which I think is wrongly underrated and is one of the studio's funniest and best achievements. However, I have no doubt that it'll be a lot of fun and will look fabulous.

As for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, sure it wasn't a patch on the original and it could have been a lot better but I found it entertaining and very enjoyable nevertheless. I do wish Tim Burton would return to his more handmade effects roots. Where are the wacky inventions of Pee Wee's Big Aventure and Edward Scissorhands? Where is the delightful stop motion madness of Beetlejuice and Vincent? One hopes they will return in Frankenweenie.

For now though, I am very excited about Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, as I am about every film The Dark Wizard comes up with.

Wholeheartedly agree about Disney's Alice In Wonderland being criminally underrated, I think it's quite deliciously dark humoured and beautifully done.
