Amazon France seem to have it - a couple of euros more than .nl and the shipping is reliable from there.

 Yes i saw that one and i admit it is tempting, although i haven't pulled the trigger yet. I'm not sure i'll enjoy the movie.

 I've bought a few steelbooks recently, thankfully they've not really cost me more than the non steelbook versions would (apart from North by Northwest) so I've not had to justify the cost to myself.

Crikey, I have 6 of those. Not Casablanca I think because I got the Ultimate Collectors Edition a few years back. I do also have the larger set of Maltese Falcon (it comes with the '31 and '36 version) but I got it in a deal with Treasure

 Only Treasure of the Sierra Madre for me. I already own NBN and didn't want to double dip on that, the others are really nice but the movies aren't really my cup of tea. Something i also found out about Treasure of Sierra Madre when i watched it

I had to buy Treasure for the HoF and most of the DVD's were going for only a couple of quid cheaper than the steelbook (which seems to be the only version of the bluray available) at the time so I thought it was worth the outlay. Treasure started me off on my current Bogart obsession (of sorts) and if I wanted The Maltese Falcon on bluray I, again, had to buy the steelbook. The steelbook of Casablanca was a birthday gift from the wife and the MoC releases I got from amazon marketplace for £11.99 each which was only 20p more expensive than buying the non steelbook editions. 

I will admit that Repo Man is a blind buy though and I only bought it because I really, really like the cover . All the others are films I like but didn't already own.

 I acquired a cinema reserve steelbook of My Darling Clementine when my Grandad passed away. Not sure if it's worth putting on ebay or not.

elab, that does interest me, yes, thanks for letting me know. I've never actually seen it so it would be a fantastic opportunity to pick it up, and despite a few niggles i'm a big fan of Arrow in general, as a tiny company they do really well with their releases, pushing a lot of cool cult titles that may not get much attention if it weren't for their efforts. I'll keep an eye on this Lifeforce steelbook!

Saw a bunch of new (to me anyway) steelbooks in HMV yesterday: Edward Scissorhands, Predator 2, Robocop, Firefly: Complete Series & a few others. All of them looked really shoddy, like the designers had just slapped any old pic they could find on the front & back & just thought "**** it, people will buy anything if it's a steelbook"
