Oh and the ending of Chaplins The Circus puts a lump in my throat. Absolutely tragic.

"The Bucket List" and "Lovely Bones" not only made me cry but also made me think about life, death, and the purpose of my existence. I also remember crying while watching Braveheart :)

The Lovely Bones gave me an odd mixture of utter digust and sadness, especially at THAT scene. Mess of a film...but still unique.

SPOILERS!!!....kinda

Most recently inHugo at the moment where, while watching Melies "A trip to the Moon" Isabelle says something along the lines of "Mama Jeanne, you were so beautiful" and suddenly Melies announces his presence in the room with "she still is". It's so cliched and trite..but I started welling up uncontrollably. Damn you mr. Kingsley.

Beautiful film.

I don't know if I ever mentioned this on my very old posts on here but A Ring of Bright Water is such a charming, bittersweet little film. Haven't seen it in years mind you but very beautiful to watch nonetheless and definitely made me shed a tear (or two!).

This thread reminded me that The Lovely Bones did indeed make me weep, but just recently watched the guaranteed tear jerker that is Schindler's List. Both bleak and uplifting, I dare anyone not to be moved

Philadelphia ,primarily thanks to the Neil Young genius to be found within. He should have won the Oscar instead of Springsteen.

Agree wholeheartedly with Up. That opening montage is a work of genius. Pixars finest moment imo (of many).

As a total and absolute surprise to me, when I saw Man On Fire I snivelled like a five year old !
I also admit to getting weepy over some very odd films, Millenium Man was one I recall watching with snot running down my nose as Robin Milliams chooses to die when his wife does.
Its strange that it's rarely the weepy films that bring out tears !

I don't know if I posted this when I saw it a few months ago, but 50/50 was incredibly moving. Very sad in places, but also extremely uplifting in others. Great bloody movie.

A film in a similar vein, the scene where he goes to the hospital and see's the little girl in Shallow Hal choked me, perhaps because i tatally didnt expect it in a film like that.

The moment in the hospital where he says "mum!" just before being carted through is the one that got me. His scream in the car was also very powerful. Gordon-Levitt is fantastic.
