I haven't heard really bad things about Oldboy actually. All say it's a fine film. I have read TGTBATU detractors though (and most of Leone's work) and from what I know, Blade Runner is as divisive as 2001 and The Fountain.

I thought The Searchers all comes down to how much you can tolerate John Wayne. TWBB and Breathless no matter how awesome they are are hated by Micheal Bay loving philistines().

Seven is great though. And hopefully everybody thinks the same. On this forum cause I know someone who didn't like it.

And how is Toy Story bland? How?

The two mentioned that I think meet all criteria so far are Raiders of the Lost Ark and Back to the Future. They really do have something for everyone. And yes Kazuya I've seen people call it a bit boring. But, I think thats probably more to do when its praised to the heavens. I'm guessing they probably still do at least like it.

And TESJ, I'm suprised you didn't put forth Empire. Yeah, yeah I know there are people who just don't like Star Wars. But..how many times do you hear the "except for Empire claim" made. Yes, I'm sure there are some fanboys of things that "say" they don't like it. But do they really even count?

*Edit* Well there goes Back to the Future.

But seriously, how can you hate Back to the Future?

I guess this maybe harder then I thought.


I was just kinda afraid that the anti-Star Wars hounds would be released .
...A bit risky, I thought, but then again, how could anybody really hate it!?

I propose Taxi Driver as a likely candidate, or how about Psycho??

It's a really good film, but in terms alongside Cars it might be one of Pixar's less inventive and creative works. That said I am judging by the admiration I have for thier other films like The Incredibles, Monsters Inc., Wall-E, Ratatioulle and Finding Nemo.

Obviously it appears that pretty much every Spielberg film has a few haters here, but what about Jurassic Park - who's got a problem with that??

Unfortunately, yes, I've encountered a few dissapointed viewers over time here.
