Guys, forgive me, Terriers passed me by. It was only one season so you know, I didn't bother when it was cancelled!

Rene you evil bastard! ;)

How could they have her crash into a Walker... that was ambling alone in the middle of the road! Terrible!

Bring on the next ep....

One season but perfectly formed. I guarantee it'll provide more entertainment value than the next 12 episodes of The Walking Dead anyway!

I thought this week's episode was really good. Felt really tense when Glenn was stalking around the bar. Think the two episodes since the break have been excellent.

Yup I agree a realy good episode. The first half particularly.

Lori is a bit nasty though isnt she? Putting bad thoughts in ricks head.

This lastest episode had me cringing...that Alan Partridge bit, just ripping it like that, ugh...so nasty.

My better half had to leave the room.

Still, loving this show. Having actual human enemies actually made me more tense than the zombies, it was such an odd feeling.

and that was the point of the comics as well, that the real danger is the other survivors.

Harsh.

But Terriers was a good show.

I feel like Walking Dead is moving ahead nicely too though. At least as long as someone, or something, is attacking someone. Those bits are actually pretty damn exciting. It's the whole talking thing that seems to be the creators' problem.

Terriers was a very good show. This is simply a decent one right now, with occasional flashes that it's improving or could improve in the future, though the stronger bits are clearly (as you say) the action set-pieces, which are consistently tense and technically well-executed, but the characterisation is still slight at best.

I'm still really enjoying this. I thought the showdow between Rick and Shane was good. I hope they dont fall into some weak episodes now where Shane becomes a good guy or too passive though.
Although with the guy in the boot its a good opportunity to Rick to show his ability to make tough decisions.

I'm increasingly disliking the treatment of the two female leads in the show. Rather than standing out on their own, they've made Andrea simply follow Shane around and solidified Lori as pretty much just a plot point for a Shane/Rick conflict. Giving them both little Lady MacBeth moments this episode (such a very obvious one with Lori whispering in his ear at the end) really didn't help with that. There's an outside chance Andrea might be trying to use Shane for her own ends, but that doesn't look like what they're doing. And it's pretty annoying.

I imagine you probably didnt like the Lori part in yesterdays episode then where she basically told Andrea to help with the lady chores and let the men do the hard stuff then.

I was never a fan of Lori tbh but I did like Andrea in the first series - I thought she was one of the strongest, most interesting characters in the show. While I think they could have worked a new direction this season as a reaction to last, I've found it pretty unconvincing and it's weakened the character.

I'd pretty much forgotten she was there. Also there hasnt been enough of Dale in the last few episodes either.

Agreed. He's a great character - I think they've sacrificed a lot of this screen time for Hershel.

I think they sacrificed a lot of people's screentime to save some money. Both because I know of the whole Darabont stuff and because it's obvious they're trying save money.

Haven't hurt the show. This was a real solid episode.

I can't stand Andrea this season. She comes across like she cares more about appearing badass than actually protecting the group. I really liked Maggie in the beginning for showing up, being awesome and not making a big deal about it. She quickly descended into rubbishness too though.

This episode totally lost me at the point - I thought it was really strong, and then basically had my WTF face on for the last bit. But that's okay - it's reached a level of consistency in terms of its atmosphere and inventive zombie killing action that I just find those elements amusing.

Fuck this show. Just watched episode 11 and I'm just fed up now with the fact that the writers have all but abandoned making the show anything like the comics. Anyone know what the ratings are like? As I really don't think I could stomach another series of this.

series 3 already commissioned and David Morrissey has been cast as.....the governor (inviso text)

I thought the last episode was the best one yet - really enjoyed it (the one aired in the UK this past Friday)

Flipping awesome episode, but also really sad too.

Genuinely gutted at the outcome.

Was that an intended pun

Yep - you can definitely say that the comic storyline has been moved away from!

Which is good as that means the whole cast is potentially a bite away from leaving.

Comic spoiler that may or may not happen in the series ahead:

If they go through with the prison arc, I really hope Lori and baby get shot the same way as the comic - now that Dale has gone (unlike the comic) I hope they dont change this part of the comic storyline.

It's the highest rated show on basic cable. And I think that means, ever. It's a huge hit.

So, they really have just said Ďfuck the comicsí havenít they? Well, they did that with Sophie, but still. Thatís not a complaint, by the way, I am enjoying the show again after that lacklustre first half of the season.  Anyway, they filmed the final scene of the latest episode back in October and quite frankly, Iím surprised I didnít know about it to be honest.I'm glad I wasn't spoiled, I like it when a show surprises me every now and then. Only two episodes to goÖ..

Yeah, I was spoiled about that too, which made the last scene of the latest eisode a nice surprise.

I won't say how I was spoiled about the thing we won't mention, I'll say after it happens and it's actually different to how others were spoiled .

You might have to dig back through the forum, but I'm pretty sure we had a thread for people who've read the comics if you want to talk about .

Right now the biggest twist will be if T-Dog actually gets a line over the next few episodes. When Rick shouted at him to get some help, I almost expected him to follow up with "And don't say anything; otherwise we'll have to pay you as a speaking role".

Anyway, well staged final scene, suitably effective. Do I care about him as a character? No, not really, but at least they're consistently happy enough to bump off credited characters.
