I couldn't find any posts about The Walking Dead series that is in production, so here it is.  I really have enjoyed reading the books and I am looking forward to the series, especially since Frank Darabont is on board to produce the series and Direct the pilot.  Below is a link to an interview with Robert Kirkman that contains some good stuff, enjoy

I have just read an article over at Latino Review.  It is not a very well written article, a lot of hate talking going on.  It is apparently a review of the pilot script.  The dude writing it has some kind of chip on his shoulder about Frank Darabont.  Each to his own I suppose.  The comparison to 28 Days Later is brought up, which I am sure it will many a time.  The only similar thing I can think of is the opening scene in the hospital.  The Zombie thing goes out the window as a similarity because Danny Boyle himself said they are not Zombies they are infected (fucking Zombies).

Anyhoo link below for article.

Once you get through all the hate in that review the Pilot script sounds very much like the first few comics so imo a faithfull adaption of the comic.

Yeah but it is a shame that the latest info comes in the form of that mess.  I am going to try and hunt down the script and have a wee read for myself.

There was a slight mention of violence being tamed down.  That would be slightly shit.

I can't wait for this.

There is a Behind the Scenes clip here - http://blogs.amctv.com/the-walking-dead/2010/06/behind-the-scenes-video.php

Even if it wasn't about zombies, the fact that Frank Darabont is writer/director and executive producer would have had me sold.

“All I ever wanted to do was Zombies”  Awesome    I am really excited about this after watching those videos.  And i agree with you Timon due to Frank Darabont being involved makes it an easy sale

I re read up to volume 10 over the last week and really hope this gets past the first season and not cancelled too early.  There is so much there to work with.  Ocyober is not that far away so hopefully there will be a trailer or TV spot soon

I've read up to Volume 5 and love the comics so can't wait to see what they do with the TV series! First pic of Rick (sorry it's so big)

The comic dragged (pun intended) and borrowed a little too much from other films etc of the genre but was still pretty good. I hope this is a bit tighter.

Been reading the books for a good few years now so I'm excited for this. Darabont being in charge makes me rest easy and all of the pictures so far have looked amazing.

SPOILERS

I am getting more and more excited about this, looks awesome and the cast looks good, hopefully the acting is just as good.  If this does work and carries on for a few seasons it will be interesting to see how they pull off the prison stuff and the raid from the Governor and his men, hell even the gruesome torture stuff with Naomi will be hard to put on screen.

Just found this, couldn't see it else where in the thread   http://thewalkingdeadpodcast.com/2010/07/20/photo-gallery-of-the-walking-dead-cast/

Just a quick reminder of site rules on 12a pics or below - nothing to outside this for the zombie pics please!

Its not that I don't like Lincoln - I'm just having some problems seeing him as the lead in this!

AMC need to release the Comic Con trailer online. Even in crappy camera recorded captures on youtube, this looks AMAZING!

And the musical choices in the trailer are perfect.

I hope and pray that the trailer is released properly.

I can't bare to sit through a cam of a trailer, simply because I don't want to understand what I see until I can see it clearly, preferably in 1080.
Hope it comes soon.

From the Comic-con panel:

-According to Frank Darabont "The Walking Dead" will have a worldwide simultaneous release in over thirty languages.
-Bear McCreary ("Battlestar Galactica") has been confirmed as the show's composer.
-Darabont says that he wants a black and white version to be released on DVD similar to his release of The Mist.

The with the gun being pointed at him is apparently called T-dog....I'm guessing he is going to replace Tyrese...which is a shame. Why give him a "gansta" name?

the other two guys are two new people (brothers) I hope they don't start bringing in too many new people. There are enough in the comics for them to play with
