Dexter is definitely the one programme I look forward to each week. This season, as has been mentioned, is superb. The Ice Truck Killer, Doakes, Jimmy Smit's character whose name I temporarily forget - they were all great story arcs. But this has seen Dexter himself develop more, and really have to change his routine. I mean, he changed it once after his kills were found, so that the gulf stream took them away, but here his kill tools etc have had to be relocated. Twice. It's little changes that are showing the character develop, and it's fascinating to see where they're taking him, and I can't wait to see where they take him next. I do have this feeling that as and when the show finishes (and part of me hopes they end it while they're still on a roll, in maybe a season or two, and not wait until the creativity has gone and it gets worse) it's going to end messily, with Dexter's entire world falling apart. That's merely supposition on my part though.

 In all honesty I actually thought it was a bit of a slow episode after all of the action packed prior episodes. I'm not knocking it, it just hasn't been as amazing as some of the of the other episodes - it just didn't have that thrill of the chase vibe.

The finale looks to be a cracker though, and as I have 12 days off from work i'll be able to set the torrent going as soon as it goes up :)

 I've just caught up to the end of Episode 11 in about a week. I think Season 4 has been the best so far and has just edged Californication for the bet show this season. I was little a little bit disappointed about what happened to Christine. I really hated Debs partner last season as I spent all season waiting for him to turn evil, yet this season he really has come on well (even if I still can't remember his name ). I thought Christine really rounded his character off but now I'm not sure where his character arc is going to go.

I too want to see Dexter finally get his come uppance - not because I want to see him caught, just I want to see how all the other characters react.

That finale was just brutal man. Seeing the kid screaming in the blood was proper disturbing.

If this goes to another season its going to be a madly different season with all the revelations about Dexter starting to come to the surface.

Oh my god. Jusy got comfy in bed watching Dexter until Ritas phone rang and I knew what was coming :

Dexter is the best show on TV at the moment and in all honesty, this has been the best season of it so far.

 That was awesome. Have finally managed to catch up with the last 4 episodes and now im sitting here at nearly 1am unable to comprehend what ive just watched. I agree with Shool, the ending with Harrison was brutal, I definitely didnt see it coming.

After a weaker season 3 this is a definite return to form for the show, perhaps even the best season yet.

As others have said, surely this must be the beginning of the end for Dexter Morgan? Even the Miami police could follow the trail he has left, he was even arrested outside the bank that Arthur Mitchell had moments earlier withdrawn all his money from!!

 I have just finished the season and I didn't see that coming at all!! 

In fact I just watched the last 4 episodes back to back and can't remember the last time I was that stressed watching a series.  I agree that the last episode felt a bit slower than the previous ones but it didn't take anything away by being so.  My first (sane) thought after recovering from the shock was "is Dexter going to call it in?"  If he does then surely the web will start to unravel for him.  Has Season 5 been confirmed?

Also, anyone else think the texts on their phones were silly?  The writing was HUGE
