That's it, count me well and truly in. Also I don't think thats DiCaprio in the corridor, though i'm sure one of them is Joseph Gordon Levitt.

Not only does this look like it's set to be that rare thing these days - an original concept picture! But it also looks that Nolan has made yet ANOTHER great leap in his action directing skills. Bodes well if he returns to the Batman franchise. I'm also really jazzed to see what he's got up his sleeve for us (This is his original story and script!).

And Leonard, maybe it's a Gordon Levitt/Cillian Murphy face/off - some part of me feels that must happen in some way or form in this life or the next...

As I said in the future film thread, it seems they've made the best of what little has been filmed so far. Nolan's still the real reason I'm seeing this, but a big,  non-sequel blockbuster by a director who undoubtedly cares about films having a plot is enough motivation to be interested in this...

tease would be the right word, almost a year to wait for a film that looks very very intriguing and very very good.

Looks interesting. But does not appear to represent it's $200M budget.

Good teaser, anyone else read the plot synopsis that turned up online recently, could be utter bullshit could be the truth
Gigantic potential Spoilerooooos ahead- Highlight to read- Supposedly the film is set in a future where scientists have found a way to transport, through means of an injection, the mind of one person into another person's dreams, from that dreamworld the person whose mind it isn't can do whatever they like, including retrieving information or unknowingly to the dreamer inplant vital info that they might need. Old Leo will be a part of one the teams who have access to this new technology.

Could be utter nonsense, but going from the teaser could very well be the case.

They've only been filming for about a month and a half and they've released a trailer with about 30 seconds of footage. What did you expect?

Cristopher Nolan is one of those people in the world, like Kubrick, Mann in cinema, Woods, Federer, in Sport etc who can do nothing wrong in their field. Inception, even going by this early teaser, is facinating. With the booming soundtrack, the gravity-spinning building and Leo looking troubled and brooding. It won't do Dark Knight numbers but it'll do well and be a rare thing these days - a brilliant blockbuster.

Jospeh Gordon Levitt is in the hallway fighting, is the other guy DiCaprio presumably? Looks brilliant even after a cryptic minute and a bit, Nolan's one of the great directorial draws of the last 25 years

It's funny to think that when Nolan was pitching his Batman to Warner's one of his insistences was that it'd be nothing like the Matrix. Perhpas he just had to get it out of his system with this film.

It does look good. Now if only Nolan could learn how to film a proper fight or sex scene.

The dude starts out as black, cut to Di Caprio emerging from what looks like a bath, then it looks like him in the same suit fighting Gordon Levitt

From the one of the finest directors ever, this could just be a) the collest movie ever made b) be better than the dark night (which is practically impossible) c) the most intriguing blockbuster of all time. The release date can't come soon enough

Not a teaser trailer with lame CGI presentation.

Can it really be called 'lame'? Did it not at least look like the two men were moving independently of  the walls' center of gravity?

EDIT - presumably you were referring, I see now, to the title sequence. Well, nowt to do with the quality of the movie.

From this one minute I have seen I will say that even The Cell got the concept better. That film was based in the realm of the mind and dreams and certainly got the dreamscapes right. And so did Paprika.

Honestly, why Nolan for this?

well, first of all, the guy being pulled away i definitely Lukas Haas. second, the guy squaring off against the guy in the hall is Josepg Gordon-Lewitt. and with a budget of $200 million and the fact that they're putting up a teaser nearly a year before the movie is released means that this movie will not be some dark horse, it's gunning for the big bucks. jeeze, do you're homework.

Yeah. There aren't many shots from the film in the teaser to actually judge. I was refering to as you said the title sequence and everything in-between footage from the film

Your honestly judging 30 seconds of footage against 2 feature length films? I know your not exactly a fan of Nolan but come on... Give it a chance.

Edit: Why Nolan? Well he wrote the script himself, That's why he's directing it. also I doubt he would have wrote anything that extended beyond his creativity, so I don't think you need to be concerned if he's visually intresting enough for the film, the film is going to come out exactly as he intended it to while writing the script.

gotta be honest, i'm kind of in the camp of 'meh'. Don't get me wrong, the glimpse of the zero g fight scene looked promising. But it's too early for me to get excited over this. yes, it's Nolan, yes it's got a massive budget ect, but the trailer finished and all that was really going through my mind was 'is that it?'

Again, not slagging it off but at the moment all i'll say is it looks promising.
